Welcoming Xyloba, the wooden marble run that makes music! The creator Samuel Langmeier first started working on his idea of a musical marble run in 1969. It is a design marvel as many intricate elements are involved, such as the correct length and slope of ramp and mounting of the chimes, to achieve a soothing musical sound and melody.

Xyloba Musical Marble Run is a creative wooden toy, which develops fine motor skills, sparks imagination and promotes a creative approach to music. The interchangeable building blocks, ramps and sound plates allow children to create a large variety of set ups and compose their own tunes by experimenting with the different chimes and the running distance of the marble (between the chimes) to create a melody.

We are honoured and excited to have been appointed as the exclusive authorised distributor of Xyloba Musical Marble Run and it’s now available in Malaysia and Singapore.

ATOM AND THE DOT
Pod in the Hood is excited to be the first bookstore in the northern region to have . Inspired by STEAM education and learning through play, Atom & the Dot is an Art Science activity based box that is founded by two friends from Malaysia.

Little Pumpkin and Buddy tried the experiments and they just love it!! Do drop by our store or buzz us to find out more about their products and hope these activities will spark the interest for science and arts in your children. Designed for ages 3-12.

MALALA'S MAGIC PENCIL
As a child in Pakistan, Malala made a wish for a magic pencil that she could use to redraw reality. She would use it to give gifts to her family, to erase the smell from the rubbish dump near her house, to sleep an extra hour in the morning. As she grew older, Malala wished for bigger and bigger things. She saw a world that needed fixing. And even if she never found a magic pencil, Malala realised that she could still work hard every day to make her wishes come true. This beautifully illustrated picture book tells Malala's story, in her own words, for a younger audience and shows them the worldview that allowed her to hold on to hope and to make her voice heard even in the most difficult of times.
