With offices in New York, Los Angeles and London, Robert Marinelli has specialized in Interior Design, Architectural Renovations and Custom Furnishings for 25 years. His International clientele are not defined by their age, income or status but an appreciation for quality, comfort and style.
His emblematic interiors are not minimalistic or excessive but an eclectic balance that is timeless, spontaneous and always evolving. While he respects historical references, he is also a great enthusiast of iconic designs and emerging artisans. He likes to infuse his decors with a mix of striking materials and textures, grounded with muted color palettes and dramatic lighting. He has an intuitive approach to space planning and favors open rooms and informal furniture plans that offset architectural facets, letting in light that promotes a lifestyle of wellbeing. Both classical and contemporary, Robert Marinelli's interiors are serene, elegant and dramatic, but never typical or formulaic.
His past projects include apartments on Central Park West, the Upper West Side, and the Upper East side, a Villa in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, a Penthouse Apartment in West Hollywood for a Hedge Fund Director, a Modernist Home in Beverly Hills for an Art Collector, a Country Estate in Connecticut, a Contemporary home on the Hudson River for a TV host. Current projects include an apartment on the Upper East Side and a Penthouse in Noho.
Marinelli studied Art and Architectural History and Business in Boston, London, Paris and later moved to Tokyo where he collaborated with prominent Development Corporations on specialized projects in Europe and Asia. He traveled extensively and was exposed to exceptional craftsmen who made remarkable custom furnishings for these projects. These specialized sources inspired him to assemble an extensive line of graceful, bespoke furniture.
