The arrival of two developments of this calibre speaks volumes about the future of our beautiful community.
ALMA has a surprise: a new neighbor.
You already know that we imagined the well-named Camino Escénico (Scenic Drive) as the first nature-integrated architectural neighborhood in Huatulco. Today, we are pleased to introduce CANOPEA — a new chapter unfolding right next to ALMA.
Although very different from ALMA, it is also rooted in our story as developers — in our careers, our passions, and our deep attachment to a place we have called home for many years.
In 2018, we envisioned something uncommon. In 2022, that vision led us to acquire the land that now hosts both ALMA and CANOPEA. In 2023, the expansion of the National Park came to embrace it, creating a rare condition: a threshold between what is protected and what is already inhabited.
As the last land that can be built before entering the National Park, we do not see it as a site to fill, but as a place of transition — a quiet presence within the landscape.
To shape this gentle passage, CANOPEA introduces an innovative approach: a curated selection of sought-after architects — diverse in style, yet united by a shared sensitivity to the land. Here, architecture does not impose; it accompanies. It does not compete with the landscape; it underscores it.
Becoming part of CANOPEA is simple:
- First, choose your lot from our Limited Collection.
- Second, select your architect from our Curated Gallery.
- Third, design your home together with us and the architect of your choice — whether you envision a tiny house or a more expansive residence.
- Finally, allow us to bring your project to life with the same care and commitment that define our work at ALMA.
If you are already working with a real estate advisor, you can request a site visit with them. The first release of 10 lots is now underway and several have already been sold or reserved.

ALMA tiene una sorpresa: un nuevo vecino.
Ya conocen el bien llamado Camino Escénico como el primer sector de arquitectura integrada a la naturaleza en Huatulco. Hoy nos complace presentar CANOPEA — un nuevo capítulo que se despliega justo al lado de ALMA.
Aunque muy diferente de ALMA, también nace de nuestra propia historia como desarrolladores — de nuestras trayectorias, nuestras pasiones y del profundo vínculo que nos une a este lugar que hemos llamado hogar durante muchos años.
En 2018 imaginamos algo poco común. En 2022, esa visión nos llevó a adquirir el terreno que hoy alberga tanto a ALMA como a CANOPEA. En 2023, la ampliación del Parque Nacional vino a abrazarlo, creando una condición poco común: un umbral entre lo protegido y lo habitado.
Como el último terreno edificable antes de ingresar al Parque Nacional, no lo concebimos como un espacio por llenar, sino como un lugar de transición — una presencia serena dentro del paisaje.
Para dar forma a este paso sutil, CANOPEA propone un enfoque innovador: una selección curada de arquitectos reconocidos — diversos en estilo, pero unidos por una sensibilidad compartida hacia el territorio. Aquí, la arquitectura no se impone; acompaña. No compite con el paisaje; lo revela.
CANOPEA es intencionalmente diferente a ALMA. Y formar parte de él es sencillo:
- Primero, eliges tu lote dentro de nuestra Colección Limitada.
- Segundo, seleccionas a tu arquitecto dentro de nuestra Galería Curada.
- Tercero, participas en el diseño de tu propiedad junto con nosotros y el arquitecto elegido — ya sea una tiny house o una residencia de mayor escala.
- Finalmente, nos encargamos de desarrollar y construir tu proyecto con el mismo cuidado y compromiso que definen nuestro trabajo en ALMA.
Si ya trabajas con un asesor inmobiliario, puedes solicitar una visita al sitio pronto, ya que la primera etapa de 10 lotes está en lanzamiento desde unos días y varios han sido vendidos o reservados.
