A haven called Saffron & Blue
Saffron & Blue is all about spaces and moods and places and hues. It’s got plenty of sunny and bright spots as well as cool and secluded nooks and crannies, so you can find the perfect place to perfectly suit you and your mood. It is designed by Channa Daswatte, an architect of repute, who is a protégé of the late Geoffrey Bawa, the world renowned Architect. Channa Daswatte is a leading Sri Lankan architect whose work now extends to the sub-continent. He is the author of the book titled “Sri Lanka Style” published by Barnes & Noble.
The name Saffron & Blue is inspired by the sunny beach, the sands of thamba panni and the clear skies and shimmering waters of Kosgoda. It is the holiday home of Ranil de Silva, an Ad man who has directed his creative energy to its creation by selecting the furniture, the art and everything else - piece by piece, with loving care to echo the architecture and the setting. The home is a reflection of his taste and style. It’s an experience of his life and his likes, a combination of the places he has seen, the designs that have inspired him and the world he has experienced.
