My Vote, My Choice.
This is not just a slogan; it's a statement. One we sat down and reflected on as young people: from those who've probably never voted, afraid of being let down or resigned to the status quo, to those who've voted, hoped, and been let down by some of their leaders.

A few weeks back, we sat down and asked ourselves: what do we envision for our country? And more importantly, what do we envision from the people who govern us?

That's where we started.

Some conversations stay with you long after the room clears.

Dr. Were Simiyu opened with a question worth sitting with "Why is it that during elections we throw away reason and engage in the wrong things?"

And his message to every young Kenyan was grounded and clear: let's not lead with emotions when discussing the issues that matter. Ask the right questions. If something isn't working, come with solutions. If not what else can we contribute?

The youth showing up today at the Siasa Poa Youth Leaders Forum 2026 is proof that the next generation wants to be part of the answer.
