INTERNATIONAL YOUTH WEEK CELEBRATIONS: From the 14th to the 16th

10th August, 2013:
Auditions for the FACE OF NAIVASHA/MR AND MISS Y PEER competition, which will be on the same day at MASADA HOTEL, 9:00 am to 1:00pm.
Contestant should be 5 ft 4 and above, must have hills to wear during the audition, must be eloquent, must have a copy of a one page written beauty with a purpose narration (what they intend to do when they win, what beauty means to them and why they are contesting for the both competitions.), must have official and casual wear outfits and must be between the ages of 17 to 24 years old.

14th August, 2013:
A clean up exercise around Naivasha Town and the DCs ground, Starting 9.00am until 12noon to be followed by a Youth Bunge session at the Youth Empowerment Center. Target audience will be the youths in Naivasha and Gigil. Refreshments will be provided while t-shirts and reflector jackets will be distributed to the Boda Boda riders and some of the participants. Meeting point will be at the DCs office at 9:00am, all are welcome.
Supplementing activities; CT at the YEC.
15th August, 2013.
Mapryks will be performing magnet theater around Naivasha town major stages. The sessions will be to mobilize the public for the final day of the activity that will be the launching of the YEC and the Mr and Miss Y PEER pageant competition. Also in mobilizing the public in accessing the other services that will be provided at the YEC co-currently with the outreaches.
Supplementing activities: CT (Gjue bands will be issued to parties accessing the service) and Cervical Cancer screening.
16th August 2013:
Starting 9:00am there will be the official opening of the YEC by Hon. John Kihagi to the youths. Speeches from invited guests and partners will follow and then FINALLY, we shall be conducting the much awaited Mr and Miss Y PEER with models coming from both districts. Talent show highlights will be the sub activities and all parties willing to showcase their talents have been invited to do so. Refreshments will be provided and there will prizes to be won for Mr/Miss Y PEER runners up and the winners, plus the best participants, Male and Female will be sponsored to the attend the upcoming KRCS Naivasha youth camp dated to take place between the 16th through to the 18th of August.

Partners involved in the event have been and will be: KNOTE, APHIA PLUS, NAPAC, SPEAK, MAPRYCKS, FACE OF NAIVASHA NOPE, NAIVASHA CONSTITUENCY OFFICE AND KRCS NAIVASHA.
