Creating the display cases for the British Crown Jewels in 1994 was a significant moment in Goppion’s history. Given the immeasurable value—both material and symbolic—of the collection, security was paramount: the cases were engineered to withstand theft, vandalism, and even explosive attacks.
But security alone wasn’t enough. The display also had to meet strict conservation requirements, preserve visual clarity, and integrate seamlessly with the historic architecture of the Jewel House. An active climate control system and custom lighting complete the design, safeguarding and presenting some of the world’s most important regalia.
