I was hoping this was a vintage Ethan Allen piece when I got it, but I couldn’t find any makers mark and I believe this was a replica… 🫠

BUT it still was a solid wood piece and I was so glad I decided to scrape all the key lime pie paint!!!

I have cut too many corners to try to finish this ASAP, but it was just a reminder of not to do it again… 😅. Thankfully, it doesn’t show much though!

This is ours to use as a coffee bar ☕️ 😍

Broyhill nightstands project

The only reason I have not posted recently is because the life has been crazy!!!

Here’s some of my recent work with Broyhill Fontana Pine nightstands.

The tops and the bottoms are stained in darker color so that pine yellowish finishes are completely gone and the body is pained in Wise Owl Paint One Hour Enamel (Dark Forest). This green color is so deep, but the lighting totally makes them look different, which I really like.

As well as other pieces I have refinished, recessed Power Strips with USB Ports are installed on the backings and they will be very handy. Brand new gold pulls help the modern yet sophisticated look and the fun floral drawer liners matches the color scheme of the nightstands.

Just look at the before pic and the transformation it’s made! They are just so pretty 🤩

Drexel chest of drawers reveal

This sturdy piece of furniture is just simply gorgeous. It exceeded my expectations and I’m hoping anyone that ended up with having it would cherish this beautiful dresser for a very long time.

I learned a lot from this piece and am so grateful that one of my sweet neighbors gave it to me. It surely was a lot of work, so hopefully someone will appreciate it and get to enjoy it.

Vintage Mid-Century Modern chairs

These are actually for us. I had been looking for a set of arm chairs to replace our current accent chairs that don’t have arms.

I found these on Facebook Marketplace available for $159 originally and saved it to see if the price would go down. The listed price went down to $129, but I still decided to watch. When I saw that they were $89, I messaged the lady and paid in full upfront since she had great reviews and didn’t accept partial payment.

I have cleaned the body already and found out those brown stains on the fabrics were actually from the stain, so I guess those weren’t sealed correctly?! Anyways, I’m going to clean the fabrics with my Shark Portable Carpet & Upholstery Cleaner, apply some Restor-A-Finish and wax afterwards.

I cannot wait to place them in the family room soon!!! You can see Gary is already loving the chairs 🪑🐈

Drexel Chest of Drawers project Part 2

This beautiful solid wood Drexel tall chest of drawers is FINALLY coming along!

After I fixed all the drawer trims, I primed and painted the drawers in One Hour Enamel, Fauna. I wanted to have the WOW feeling I had when I did my vanity desk with gold pulls, Fauna, and dark walnut stain color with furniture wax and I believe this beautiful color delivered it again!!! 😍

When I was installing those pulls, I realized that this batch was slightly different from the ones I have, so I swapped all of them into the new ones and glad I just had enough of them! 😅

I used Feed-N-Wax inside the dresser body for the first time, but I personally preferred Wise Owl Furniture Salve, so I used the salve on the drawers. I used Foxtrot and it smelled so good! It made a huge difference on the dried wood and now all of them look beautiful, especially with the drawer liners 😍

Hopefully I can reveal this week!

Drexel chest of drawer project

This is a very heavy Drexel tall dresser that my sweet neighbor gave me 🫶🏼

I had no choice but to strip the paint because there were TWO layers and it was not smooth enough to paint over it. I’m not gonna lie and that was very satisfying to strip the thick layers with Furniture Stripper!

I removed the very bottom to make it look more modern. Then I noticed one of the drawers had a different trim… 🤦🏻‍♀️. I just could not ignored it, so I removed ALL the trims and ordered similar one with the same height on Home Depot online. I’ve all attached them with some wood glue and nail gun.

I finished cleaning inside yesterday and now I’m trying to decide the paint color… 🤔. I’ve been working on 2 other projects simultaneously, so hopefully it won’t take long to finish this one!

Wise Owl PaintOld curio project reveal 💓

These old curio cabinets can be used as end tables or nightstands now! These transformations are almost unreal 🤩

Love the combo of One Hour Enamel, Fauna, and the cane webs that created some beach vibes 🏖️

Hope they will find a good home soon 😻

Curio cabinets project 👇

I seriously have no idea how much time I have wasted on these… I probably won’t take anything like these that needed a major upgrades anymore 😂 I want to believe that still the outcome is going to be great, but I went back and forth too many times. Definitely a lesson learned pieces for me, so that was some gain!

I struggled with the cane web applications on the think plywood pieces that I had cut in the shapes of the glass panels. I was not gonna use the glass panels anymore, so I tossed them. I love the color that I painted! Again, One Hour Enamel, Fauna, wins!!!

Hopefully I can make a final reveal soon!

Nightstand project reveal 🎉

These are super pretty and very handy to have outlets on the backsides.

Nightstand project 🪑

I got these a while ago and finally started working on them. I didn’t like the old look at all and I knew adding legs would make them look better and fancy! I used a jigsaw to cut the bottoms and my husband helped me to add supports for those legs.

I filled dents, lightly sanded, primed with Wise Owl Stain Eliminating Primer, and then multiple coats of Wise Owl One Hour Enamel, Leatherwood. Love the taupe color and they look gorgeous with added legs! 🤩

I also changed the backing, matched the color, and added an outlet for more convenience. I didn’t like the color of the pulls because they were lighter than I liked, so I spray painted them. They looked much better and I’m so glad I changed the color!

Of course, Gary wanted to help me out when I had to work in the house, but he ended up with falling asleep in the drawer 😂🐈

I’ll reveal the nightstands tomorrow!!!
