The property rests on the side of Todi hill surrounded by 10 hectares of fields, fruit trees and olive trees. We provide guest accommodation in our spacious guest bedroom, with a kingsize bed, antique furniture and fresh clean towels and bedsheets. We have recently created more space by removing some decorative furniture. There is a small wardrobe and chest of drawers for those who want to unpack.
While the bathroom is shared, we’ll mostly use the other toilet during your stay, so no waiting to brush your teeth at night! SInce there is only one shower in the house, so we will try to use it at a time that is convenient for you. Breakfast is self-service, with a push-button Nespresso coffee machine, plenty of milk, cereal, yogurt and fresh fruit. And no need to worry about doing the dishes, we have a dish washer! Our well-equipped kitchen is there for your use if you want to make any other meals. We have a living room with a comfy sofa, Sky TV and a cosy glass-fronted fire. There is a table in the dining area and another in the kitchen if you want to eat in the house. We also have broadband WiFi internet. The property’s thick stone walls keep it cool during summer and keep the heat in during winter, so you should always be comfortable inside. The house is only 1.6km from the historic centre of Todi, about 20 minutes walk for those willing to brave the steep hill up to the town. Todi has a good range of restaurants serving traditional local dishes and there is a well stocked supermarket near the house. Todi lacks footpaths, so it isn’t ideal for walking from one part to another, but there are beautiful countryside footpaths which lead from our house to other places, you can walk to an old monastery or alongside the Tiber River. If you want to visit Rome, our house is 1 hour and 30 minutes drive from the Villa Borghese. Other towns and cities are also in driving distance: Assisi 45 minutes; Perugia 40 minutes; Deruta (famous for ceramics) 20 minutes; Montefalco 40 minutes; Orvieto 45 minutes; Spoleto 50 minutes; Civitavecchia di Bagnoregio 1 hour; Arezzo 1.5 hours and Florence 2 hours. Guido and I are quite good fun, chilled and enjoy a peaceful life. You can be sure of a warm welcome from us, our 4 cats and especially from our 2 dogs!
