THE HISTORY

SASA was founded in the Sixties as a craft manufacturer of community seating. Our constant commitment to quality woodworking and our vast experience, acquired in almost fifty years’ work, have earned us a fine international reputation. Our production of elegant seating for community and contract use targets a very discerning and increasingly demanding market in terms of functionality, aesthetics and stability - specific characteristics which the market finds in SASA products. A leading, customer service-driven manufacturer that also pays great attention to major topical concerns, especially those concerning the environment. In fact we use only noble wood for our products, sourced from selected, top-quality, sustainably managed European forests.To ensure the highest quality standards, we perform the entire production process within our factory. We receive fresh timber which is then dried naturally because our pursuit of perfection starts from the very first stages of production.

Once the wood has reached optimum humidity it is sent to the sawmill where a sawyer will check its grain and any knots or bending before drawing on the wood the shape to be cut. Traditions from the past that are still used today to give our products the hallmark SASA quality our customers have come to expect. We place importance on tradition and, at the same time, on technology. A design department and expert designers produce SASA exclusive styles, which exude superior creativity and attentiveness to the market’s expressed and hidden needs. To us, the market means people and lifestyles as well as the passion and tradition that have always been part of it. SASA products are the fruits of this delicate balance which combines an increasing demand for custom-made work which is made according to the most demanding requirements of our clientele. We turned to CATAS - the leading Italian testing and R&D institute in the wood and furniture field - to ensure our customers can be totally convinced of our products’ quality. To us, CATAS certification is the reward for our commitment to our customers, the bond of trust that affects every aspect of our work, from production to excellent delivery times (we always have at least 20,000 seating elements in stock) and after-sales service.
