The Superonda Sofa stems from a simple yet revolutionary gesture: a sinusoidal cut within a polyurethane foam block. From this seemingly elementary operation, two identical modules take shape, which can be combined in infinite ways. This formal simplicity conceals an extraordinary conceptual complexity. Superonda is one of the first examples of a “boneless” sofa, devoid of a rigid structure. There is no longer a hidden skeleton: the material itself becomes the structure.
