On the occasion of the activities related to the Italian Design Day, the Italian Embassy in Madrid presents the exhibition that collects the winning prototypes of the second edition at the Italian Cultural Institute in Madrid, Calle Mayor, 86 -28013 Madrid, from 21 to 30 June. of the Il Design competition. A journey between Italy and Spain. The competition promoted in collaboration with the Consulate General of Italy in Barcelona, ​​ADI-FAD - Associació de Disseny Industrial COAM - Colegio Oficial Arquitectos de Madrid di_mad - Asociación de Diseñadores de Madrid Interni Magazine was created within the ITmakES project by 'Embassy of Italy in Madrid. The exhibition, entitled The Identity Object, organized in collaboration with Interni with the aim of creating synergies by involving students of disciplines related to industrial design and young Spanish designers under 35 and the lively production reality of the Italian furniture sector.
The seven prototypes ranging from a knife / crescent to a set of s*x toys jewelry, from a carpet homage to cultural nomadism, to a booth for domestic spaces, passing through a set of modular and stackable tables, an armchair made according to the rules of he circular economy and a table lamp made up of two modules that can be separated and autonomous in case of need, gave account of a great energy and excitement among the new generation of Iberian design. Young people, contrary to the Italian reality which sees a strong relationship between business and the educational system, have a more maker training there which has facilitated the operation of the Italian prototyping companies: Alessi, Baleri, cc-tapis, Disegno Mobile, Emu, Martinelli Light, True Design.
