Carlton: the Memphis Milano masterpiece that breaks all the rules of design. Designed by Ettore Sottsass in 1981, this bookshelf is a burst of color, personality, and pure audacity in Kalei’s townhouse. Playful, striking, and impossible to ignore, it’s a true head-turner that transforms our space into a bold expression of creativity.

With the Memphis people again: for Marco Zanini, you cannot choose just one Memphis piece as your favorite. The brand is about experimenting and creating new frontiers of design, especially when you have the opportunity to follow extraordinary manual processes like the hand making of glassware in Murano. The story becomes more and more fascinating.

A new home, the Radical Home: this is the space where Memphis contributes to create a new way of living. The monumental yet functional Suvretta, the legendary Casablanca, the imposing Hyatt by Ettore Sottsass, as well as all the other masterpieces by names like Michele De Lucchi and Nathalie Du Pasquier; an impeccable way to show the timeless beauty of Memphis in a domestic space.

In Memphis’ catalogue, you can find monumental pieces as well as some smaller gems. When exhibitions like Salone del Mobile, coming soon this month, are planned, the brand gives both categories the same importance. Here are the refined, delicate, elegant porcelains by Matteo Thun: Manitoba, Ontario, Erie, Superior and Michigan. Anti-functional and “emotional objects” which contribute to making Memphis always and perpetually unique.

“New” Tawaraya Ring by Masanori Umeda: discover its 2x2 size!

Memphis is a timeless brand. Sometimes, its creations keep evolving to adapt to current times, without losing their special, unique character. Here is why Memphis is presenting at Salone del Mobile a “new” Tawaraya Ring by the late Masanori Umeda. The novelty? A smaller size, with just two practical tatami mats at the base.

Memphis has welcomed the new, smaller Tawaraya Ring into its catalog in the name of versatility and innovation. Furthermore, the four corner posts are customizable: Masanori Umeda designed them with flowers, plants, poles with flags, and typically Japanese decorations on top. Depending on your mood and imagination, you can decorate your personal Ring as you wish.

Save the date! “Hit List ‘80. Design, Interfaccia, Colore” is the title of an exhibition recently opened at in Trento. The project takes its cue from the city of Trento itself, reflecting on the crucial urban and social changes of a decade rife with contradictions. This framework also includes Ettore Sottsass and Marco Zanini, both natives of Trentino and, above all, revolutionary creators—also through their Memphis creations, such as the Carlton bookcase, the Roma armchair and the Victoria, Baykal and Tanganyka vases, respectively, both on display. The exhibition will run until June 28, 2026.
