From tailoring to design, Bascule by Studio Πfor Vitra explores a new relationship between body, movement and comfort.
Designed by Anne-Sophie Oberkrome and Lisa Ertel, the armchair conceals its mechanism beneath the padding and cover, allowing the fabric to reveal what happens to the body. From an upright position to an almost horizontal recline, Bascule adjusts naturally to the weight of whoever sits in it.
An armchair that is as inviting to the touch as it is to the eye.
