The Ponti bookshop is a tribute to Gio Ponti, one of the greatest architects and designers, inspired by the Co-Cathedral of Taranto - Great Mother of God - a masterpiece of modern architecture, designed by Gio Ponti between 1964 and 1966, inaugurated in 1970.

Being included among the installations selected by AD Italia for Milan Design Week 2026 is a recognition that speaks to vision, research, and a strong design identity.

“17 installations to see at Milan Design Week 2026 according to AD” portrays a city that, from April 20 to 26, transforms into a widespread creative laboratory where design becomes experience, dialogue, and experimentation.

Within this context, our Portici bookshelf finds its place: a project rooted in the idea of architecture as rhythm, sequence, and relationship. A system that is not merely a container, but a narrative structure, capable of engaging both its environment and those who inhabit it.

Being part of this selection means contributing to a broader conversation on contemporary design, where form and function intertwine with culture and sensitivity.
