I could spend countless words telling you what makes a Dreamaker amp special, but I think the spontaneous reaction of a player plugging in for the first time is even more valuable.

Last night at Indian Riders in Czech-Republic, with the best guys you could share a stage with: High Voltage - AC/DC Tribute
Not only did we have tons of fun, but it was also another great opportunity to test the amps where they really have to support you the most.
The one and only lead guitarist, Nicola Marchi Nicola Marchi , played a Gibson SG Standard through a 484ds (a slightly customized version of the PPX2), while I played rhythm guitar with a naked Gretsch G6128T through a regular PPX2. Both of us went straight from the guitar into the amp (what else??), then into Marshall 1960 cabs.
The Power control on both amps was set at around 6. Not too quiet, not too loud, just the volume you need to stand beside a not-so-gentle hard-hitting drummer.
No 0-1 digital technology. Just old-school vibes... that's the way we wanna rock 'n' roll!

Due anni fa, al di Padova, ho conosciuto un collezionista di strumenti vintage di nome , che si è subito innamorato dello 05_35RC.

Qualche mese dopo ci siamo incrociati nuovamente durante una clinic di Chris Buck, e lì Filo mi ha detto:
“Sai cosa? Mi piacerebbe davvero acquistare uno dei tuoi ampli, ma lo vorrei in formato 2x10.”

In quel momento, per quanto l’idea fosse senza dubbio interessante, ero ancora fresco del lungo lavoro di progettazione dello 05_35RC e ho preferito non avventurarmi subito in un nuovo progetto (non si può sempre diventar matti…), ma piuttosto raccogliere prima i frutti di quanto già seminato.

A distanza di quasi due anni, anche grazie agli ottimi riscontri ottenuti dallo 05_35RC, ho deciso di ricontattare Filo.
Il risultato è questo amplificatore che, oltre a essere esteticamente particolarmente sfizioso (e qui il merito va tutto al buon gusto di Filo) suona anche incredibilmente bene.

Unico rimpianto: averlo consegnato troppo presto!

Per quanto riguarda gli speaker, dopo tanti ascolti la scelta è ricaduta su due Jensen C10Q, che si sposano perfettamente con il carattere “vintage inspired” dell’ampli.
Il resto delle specifiche, invece, rimane molto vicino a quelle del fratello 1x12:

• Circuitazione hand-wired curata nel minimo dettaglio
• Preamplificatore di derivazione americana
• Finale a bias catodico (Vox style), ma con valvole 6L6
• Power Scaling: potenza regolabile progressivamente da 35W fino a 0,1W
• Riverbero a molla lunga pilotato da circuitazione valvolare
• Layout costruttivo ultra ordinato per garantire massima pulizia sonora, basso rumore di fondo, alta affidabilità ed estrema facilità di manutenzione
• Progettato per affrontare anche il tour professionale più intenso

Difficilmente questi samples realizzati da Isle of Tone , potrebbero rappresentare meglio lo spirito di questo amplificatore.

Ma d’altronde, quando c’è del talento di mezzo, in un modo o nell’altro viene sempre fuori.
