De Castelli

De Castelli DeCastelli’s distinctive trait is love
for materials.

Faithful to its decision to reinstate the special role of metal in design and experimentation, De Castelli infuses artisan ideas and workmanship into industrial processes, leading to entirely original results. LA VISIONE
Nella vita di ogni Azienda, come nella
vita di ogni uomo, ci sono momenti
in cui la voglia di novità potrebbe
confondersi con insoddisfazione
del presente. Invece tale sentimento

qualifica un profondo amore e rispetto
per la propria storia,
le proprie origini, che si perdono in
epoche antiche, quando i materiali, le
lavorazioni e le idee ad esse connesse
rappresentavano un unicum fatto di
braccia e cervello.
realizzazione finale. La passione per
i materiali rappresenta l’aspetto più
evidente di DeCastelli, non sono solo
le lavorazioni, sempre più sofisticate,
a calamitare l’interesse dell’Azienda,
ma una ricerca costante in cui si scava
all’interno dell’essenza stessa del ferro
e dei suoi derivati, in cui ogni molecola
è in grado di svelare esiti inattesi,
producendo una miriade di varianti,
che fanno l’unicità di ogni singolo
prodotto. THE VISION
In the life of each firm, as in the life
of each man, there are times when
the desire for new things might be
confused with a sense of dissatisfaction
for the present. On the contrary, such a
feeling connotes deep love and respect
for history and origins: once upon a
time when materials, manufacturing,
and ideas represented a combination
of arms and brain. All this represents a strong attitude
that would not stop at the mere
surface of objects, but would rather dig
into their soul in order to grasp their
secrets, hidden in their very deepest,
inaccessible essence. In the last years,
a perfect fusion between design and
technology has made possible to
produce far-from-serial, unique objects:
the result of highly refined craft and
of scrupulous attention, from their
conception to their final realization. But ever more refined
manufacturing is not the Company’s
only concern; DeCastelli is also devoted
to constant research, aimed at the
excavation of the real essence of
iron and iron derivatives, where each
particle can lead to surprising results
and produce a multitude of variations,
all adding to the product’s uniqueness.

At the foot of Mount Balwangsan, Lusongce Premium Villa places architecture in a continual state of negotiation with the landscape, where form and context are held in tension through matter itself.

De Castelli stainless steel and brass surfaces act as a continuous skin that reshapes light into variation. Subtle changes in orientation alter perception from one moment to the next, dissolving repetition and turning transformation into the permanent condition of space.

The selected finishes bring the metal into an unstable threshold, where depth is not an effect but a behavior. Tones absorb traces of the landscape and return them as controlled vibrations. In the lobby, the brass reception desks extend the same material logic into the point of arrival, maintaining continuity without interruption.

In Esa, geometry becomes a device, and light reveals its structure as a continuous field of variations. Metal becomes the point of tension between these two systems, one solid, the other immaterial, both defined by a single, essential idea of harmony.

Time leaves traces. DeErosion makes them visible.

Metal is engraved, eroded, transformed into a tactile and profound surface.
Abstract geometries, irregular reflections, and hand-applied oxidations: every detail expresses the uniqueness of the material, born from the encounter between technical precision and artisanal sensitivity.

Every variation of light in Dorica becomes an event in which the flutes expand and contract like a slow breath across the surface. Nothing remains still: form is continuously reassembled, in a constant perceptual slippage that resists any single reading.

From this emerges a vertical horizon, where opacity and reflection do not oppose each other but draw closer, gently touching in a subtle act of courtship.

In Dorica, classical inspiration does not return as imitation, but as a distant resonance passing through the designer’s sensibility like a slow movement through an invisible sieve. What remains is not the literal memory of the past, but its most essential echo, refined until it becomes rhythm, measure, breath.

The memory of classical architecture is not intended as a citation, but absorbed as a generative principle.
Dorica arises from this cultural continuity: a project that observes the classical grammar and distills its essence into a contemporary presence, essential and quietly monumental.
Proportion, verticality, and balance define the entire collection, in a perceptual condition amplified by the DeFauvé finish, which gives the metal an ambiguous, atmospheric quality, where light does not merely reflect but seems to settle and sediment within it.

“We built a journey, a narrative that begins in prehistory and encounters the evolution of matter.” Antonio Marras traces the vision behind La Geometria del Caos.
Echoes of ancient civilizations, mythological imagery, and archaic symbols flow through the collection, where metal becomes a surface that preserves memory and transformation. Oxidations settle like traces of time, while reflections and layered textures reveal objects suspended between ritual presence and contemporary form.
A series of unique and limited-edition pieces where matter carries the imprint of history, gesture, and imagination.

Entering the De Castelli Gallery, Antonio Marras encounters a space already layered with traces, memory, and narrative possibilities.

The rooms, niches, and the large doorway overlooking Via Visconti di Modrone become part of a scenography inhabited by suspended figures, oxidized surfaces, and objects that seem to emerge slowly from matter itself. During the press preview, bodies and movement crossed these spaces, amplifying their evocative dimension like presences in continuous transition.

La Geometria del Caos unfolds as a landscape where metal, gesture, and imagination exist in a delicate state of tension.

La Geometria del Caos unfolds as a stratified narrative, where apparent disorder becomes structure and material language.
In dialogue with Antonio Marras, metal absorbs memory and archaic references, undergoing oxidation and artisanal processes that shape its perception and material depth.

A collection of unique and limited-edition pieces in which surfaces open passages between what has been and what is yet to emerge, returning matter to a perpetual state of transformation.
