Introducing ๐€๐๐”๐€, the new 2026 collection designed by LCM MARIN Design Studio for Riva1920.

Two distinct pieces, one recognizable architectural identity.

The ๐€๐๐”๐€ ๐๐Ž๐Ž๐Š๐’๐‡๐„๐‹๐… develops vertically through slender wooden supports and horizontal shelves, creating a structured composition where open spaces, proportions and the natural grain of wood define its character.

The ๐€๐๐”๐€ ๐’๐ˆ๐ƒ๐„๐๐Ž๐€๐‘๐ƒ explores the same design language through a more compact volume, with carefully crafted doors, open compartments and distinctive structural details.

In this sophisticated setting, the warmth of wood stands out against dark walls and architectural mouldings, revealing the precision of every connection and the richness of the material.

A simple sheet of paper. A sculptural form in solid wood. An award-winning design.

๐–๐‘๐€๐, the bench designed by lualdimeraldi studio for Riva1920, has been selected for the prestigious ADI Design Index 2026 in the Design for Living category, becoming an official candidate for the Compasso dโ€™Oro 2028.

Inspired by the fluid movement of a rolled sheet of paper, WRAP transforms a simple gesture into a sculptural bench carved from solid, fragrant reclaimed Cedar of Lebanon.

Its flowing curves reveal the expressive beauty of the wood, while the natural grain and distinctive balsamic fragrance give every piece its own unique character.
A recognition that celebrates the creativity of the designers and Riva1920's commitment to craftsmanship, material research and responsible production.

๐–๐„๐, the table designed by Authentic Design for Riva1920, has been selected for the prestigious ADI Design Index 2026, becoming an official candidate for the Compasso dโ€™Oro 2028 in the Design for Living category.

At the heart of the project lies an unexpected structural challenge: supporting a 4 cm-thick solid wood tabletop with a remarkably lightweight carbon fibre base weighing just 2 kg.

The intricate woven structure of carbon fibre provides the strength needed to support the substantial weight of solid wood, while creating an almost weightless visual effect.

Two materials with completely different identities: the warmth and authenticity of solid wood, the technical precision and lightness of carbon fibre.

WEB challenges conventional perceptions of weight, strength and design, demonstrating how material innovation can open up new possibilities for solid wood furniture.

ADI DESIGN INDEX 2026

Two Riva1920 products have been selected for the ADI Design Index 2026: WRAP, bench designed by lualdimeraldi studio, and WEB, table designed by Authentic Design, Riva1920โ€™s in-house research and development studio.

Both have been selected as candidates for the Compasso dโ€™Oro 2028, in the Design for Living category.

An important recognition for Riva1920 and for the designers behind these projects, confirming the value of the research, craftsmanship and design culture that guide our work every day.

This achievement becomes even more meaningful at the ADI Design Museum, where Maurizio Rivaโ€™s name now stands among the recipients of the 2024 Compasso dโ€™Oro Career Award โ€” a story that began with woodworking and continues to shape the identity of Riva1920 today.
