In Piazzetta Bossi, tucked behind Brera's quieter streets, an eight-storey office block sat empty from 2016 until Studio Urquiola began its restoration. The building, designed between 1954 and 1958 by Pietro Lingeri as a stronghold of Milanese Rationalism, kept its pink granite facade and rectilinear window grid intact through the conversion into Casa Brera.

Inside, Fior di Pesco marble runs from bedroom to bathroom without a break, holding the same discipline of line that the facade insists on. Vasca Lariana sits within that continuity, its rounded profile set against the marble's veining and matte black fittings.

Agape is often read through its designers. Less visible is the work that made room for all of them: the decision to open the company beyond a single designer; the move into home furnishing; the relationships with dealers and agents that turned Agape into an international presence; the ability to accompany a designer's vision from its earliest conversations to the finished product.

At twenty, he wanted to race cars. For almost forty years, it turns out, Emanuele Benedini has driven something else as well: foot down, eyes already on the exit of the turn. All this with a quiet form of authorship: measured not by a single object, but by everything that made those objects possible.

Happy Birthday, Emanuele.

A frame thin enough to hold its own weight. Slim doesn't announce itself: it stands where the light passes through, and lets the room, the window, the tub, arrive inside it in reflection rather than in front of it.

Before it captures light, it holds fire.

Cast while molten, solid glass gradually reveals the depth, transparency and subtle variations that define every Massicci washbasin.

The process cannot produce identical objects. It produces a family of pieces, each carrying the visible memory of its own making.

For Konstantin Grcic, every project starts with a way of thinking. Form is never the point of departure, but the consequence of a precise relationship between function, material and use.

The same approach defines Mach 2, the accessories collection designed for Agape, where each element contributes to the space through clarity rather than decoration.

As part of the 30th edition of Festivaletteratura Mantova, Konstantin Grcic will be in conversation with Paolo Ferrarini, reflecting on design as a cultural practice and on the ideas that continue to shape contemporary living.

On the Iblei plateau, in Sicily's southeastern corner, Villa Fegotto has stood since the seventeenth century as the working core of a feudo: a w**e cellar, a granary, an olive mill, stables and workshops gathered around a manor house painted floor to ceiling in patterns the property still keeps.

Architect Vittorio Battaglia's restoration left that layering as it was found: ochre and floral in one room, a faded blue trellis climbing toward a painted vault in the next, coral damask in a third.

Within these rooms, Cenote stands in dark stoneware or warm terracotta, holding its own against walls that were never meant to recede. Vis-à-vis Extra, in natural cork, introduces a tactile presence conceived to live comfortably alongside water, while Limón’s brushed brass fittings pick up the same warmth, Bucatini’s mirror and accessories echo the circular motifs already present in the decoration, and Vieques finds its place within one of the house’s richly painted interiors, where colour becomes part of the architectural composition.

Superellisse: a curve with no single fixed radius, sitting exactly between a rectangle and an oval. It surfaces throughout furniture and car design of the 1960s and '70s, valued for softening a shape without rounding it into a circle.

Seppia, designed by Benedini Associati, works from that same geometry. Every corner eases rather than turns, and the mirror holds its shape whether mounted horizontal or vertical, backlit or plain.

Design is never neutral, and it’s actually quite political.

Whether conceived as a neutral white box or a sculptural form, every space creates a condition. It shapes movement, perception and the rituals of everyday life.

In the bathroom, this relationship becomes especially intimate. Material, proportion and function are never isolated choices, but elements of a larger composition built around the body and its experience.

Lyndon Neri reflects on design as a totalising practice during Neri&Hu × Agape at Milan Design Week 2026.

Marco Ferreri has left us.

He taught us that intelligence could be found in the ordinary, and translated that belief into objects that never tried to impress, only to belong.

His work never relied on spectacle or excess. That spirit lives on in the projects he created with Agape, from Barralibera to the Serie O collection, in the conversations we shared over the years, and even in the small handwritten gestures that reflected the same wit and generosity found in his work.

We remember Marco Ferreri with gratitude, admiration, and affection.

Thank you, Marco.
