Rajasthan Forest Produce Collectors and Processors Group Support Society, called Samarthak Samiti is working for the betterment of the tribal livelihood in Udaipur region since last 20 Years. Samiti is working in Udaipur, Dungarpur, Pratapgarh, Chittorgarh and Rajsamand districts to improve Tree Based Livelihood of poor. We are very instrumental in building the capacity oftribals of the area and i
nvolve training them in processes for value addition in various Minor Forest Produce & Agriculture produce and linking with market to get better economical returns from their products. Not only this, based on our experience we also started providing marketing support to the group for better price & market. Since last five years Samarthak is able to promote products like – Natural Honey, Jamun Ark, Amla Products, Alovera products , Various Sharbat, Forest seeds , Organic products and Handloom Cloths. These all products are made and produced by tribal men and women of the area, where handloom cloths are made by a women’s cooperative of Aklera block of Jhalawar district. Recently, we have developed one innovation to provide marketing support through a well-designed Mobile Shop named as G-Shop (Green Shop), to enhance the market support to these products. This model is being supported by The Scottish Government, Scotland and technical support from Change Alliance, New Delhi; . We also have received support from GEF- MoEF- UNDP - SGP & CEE Ahmadabad. The shop is ready to be launched for the benefit of the people.
