Matha saw mill was established in 1947, soon after its launch it took off in the winning direction. Right from its start it was well known for its No Compromise on Quality and Value. The 2nd Generation was a colorful period for the company. This generation was more about Diversification and Branding. During this period the company attained its famous crown logo. This was the time the company moved

one step ahead in its reputation and brand value.This success helped the company to diversify and mark the launch of its first Timber and Building Materials retail store under the brand name ST. It was an immediate success. MATHA after strengthening its position in both the businesses, it further ventured into clay tiles manufacturing under the brand name MATHA THANGA RATHAM, which became the main stay business of the MATHA Enterprise.
