The Calcutta Heritage Award
This prestigious award is a sculpted tribute to the rich architectural and cultural heritage of Calcutta (Kolkata), a city renowned for its majestic Victorian-era structures.

The central feature is a detailed, fluted Corinthian column, directly inspired by the grand pillars and neo-classical design of the iconic Victoria Memorial. This column symbolizes enduring strength, artistry, and the city’s legacy as a cultural and intellectual capital.

Set against the column is a modern, sweeping plaque of polished gold, representing the “Design Milestone” it celebrates. The stark contrast between the traditional column and the contemporary plaque embodies the fusion of history and future - a tribute to designs that honor the past while defining the next era of innovation. The entire sculpture rests on a solid base, grounding the award in the “Studio” that created the milestone work.

It is an award that celebrates both legacy and breakthrough, standing as a timeless monument to exceptional design achievement.
