What started off as a desire to instill all my ideas into my a friend's home, soon turned into a pleothora of compliments and features in various magazines and television shows. rior designer, my services include coordinating items and decorating the house to give you a complete and beautiful home. I also work in close coordination with the workers, advising and discussing how best to complete the project. As your own personal shopper, I assist with the collection and selection of everything you might need for your home. From tiles to furniture to fittings. ( A complete list is given below). over the years i have managed to attain good knowledge of the material, how to source them and how to get it at the best deals. As your friend I understand that every person has their own tastes and desires. So i will work in very close connection with my clients, understanding them and encouraging them to take the final call. I also believe that 'expensive' does not necessarily mean 'beautiful'. My services stem from creating beauty at minimal cost.

From Blueprint to Reality
Designing interiors of Hykon’s State-of-the-Art Facility

The very first time I walked into a meeting about this mammoth structure, I honestly had no clue what was going on. The conversations were filled with technical abbreviations and jargon that flew right over my head. But once I tuned in and learned the language of the project, I slowly found my rhythm.

Christo, his son George and wife Ansa came in with such clarity of vision, it was refreshing. They wanted something far beyond the typical look of a factory. Their dream was a refined, modern facility that would feel welcoming, yet functional. Hykon’s corporate blue was to be woven in, subtly but meaningfully. At first, I thought it might be tricky, but soon we found ways to let the colour quietly shine through in the discussion rooms, training halls, and more.

Spread across nearly 50,000 sq. ft., the space tells its own story. The front flows into offices, training and display areas, reception, cafeteria, and more. The back hums with energy from the assembly line. And because Christo is deeply invested in R&D, a significant area was dedicated exclusively to innovation and research.

Looking back, I feel truly proud that we at Illusions could help bring this vision to life. None of it would have been possible without the unwavering efforts of our lead designer, Er. Varsha, who devoted her time and talent to the designs, drawings, and endless queries with such patience. My heartfelt thanks also go to the many skilled hands who made this project a reality, Rafeek and Nihas from Master Builders for the flooring, Rafeek and Nishad from Ideal Interior solutions for the interiors, Francis for the lighting, Arun for the signage, Premkumar for the steel work, Anupa from Velocity, and so many others whose contributions were invaluable.

For me, this project wasn’t just about designing the interiors of a factory. It was about learning, adapting, and above all, building trust. A heartfelt thank you to Christo for believing in me and my team. This one will always remain close to my heart.

Another Landmark for ICL Fincorp in Kochi

Yet another ICL Fincorp office, this time in the heart of Kochi!

This one is special as it serves as the corporate office annexe.
As always, the timeline was tight, but by now we’ve grown used to working under challenging schedules, and honestly, that’s where half the excitement lies.

The real fun was in transforming the space to accommodate all the requirements given to us.
With restrictions on modifying the exterior façade (since another client occupies the 3rd floor), we had to get creative. We kept their veranda open and introduced two striking cut-outs of ICL brand ambassadors, giving the whole building a unified, vibrant identity.

Within the available space, we pushed ourselves to deliver the best possible design, balancing function, aesthetics, and the brand’s personality.

And the most rewarding part?
We truly enjoyed every moment of bringing this office to life.

Designing the spirit of travel.

It was a refreshing change for our team to step beyond our usual repertoire of homes and offices to design something truly unique – a travel agency office right in the heart of Thrissur.

From the outset, we wanted every visitor to feel immersed in the spirit of travel. To recreate the magic of flying, we designed custom aircraft windows featuring views of the sky and wings, beautifully backlit to give the sensation of looking out mid-flight. We further enhanced this experience with an installation of rotating propellers, while the ceiling lights were conceptualised to evoke the glow of airport tarmacs seen during night landings.

Functionality remained at the core of the design. Each agent’s desk was equipped with a large screen to seamlessly display clients’ travel plans during discussions. We thoughtfully created spaces for consultations as well as dedicated areas for back-office work. Since the agency operates under ICL, the design included executive cabins for the MD and CEO.

The space itself was L-shaped, and in one section, we crafted an office for Laneseda Vanijya Pvt Ltd, complete with a reception area, conference rooms, and staff cabins.

The real thrill was the timeline – we were given just 40 days to complete the entire project, and as always, we delivered on schedule.

And of course, this vision came to life under the creative direction of Er Varsha, our lead designer at Illusions, whose impeccable design sensibilities ensured every detail resonated with the spirit of travel.

A Festival-Ready Home in the Heart of Thrissur

We’ve just wrapped up a vibrant new project at Visram Saroj Apartments, set right on the iconic Thrissur Round along Shornur Road—an enviable address, especially during the electrifying Thrissur Pooram Festival.
Our client came to us with a clear vision and a firm deadline: to move in before May 1st and be fully settled in time for Pooram on May 6th. That gave us just 33 days to completely transform the space. More than just a residence, this home was meant to be a front-row seat to the festival's energy—a space that celebrates tradition while embracing modern comforts.
Though the apartment measured under 1700 sq. ft., we reimagined the layout to maximize flow and openness. An open kitchen design became central to creating a feeling of spaciousness and togetherness. To bring in a strong sense of Kerala’s rich heritage, we sourced and installed two antique wooden pillars, which anchored the space with warmth and authenticity.
To complement the traditional elements, we introduced Moroccan-patterned tiles—an unexpected yet harmonious touch that gave the space a distinct ethnic flair. The result is a home that feels both rooted and refreshing, nostalgic and functional.
And yes, we delivered—on time, in just 33 intense but rewarding days. These tight timelines certainly keep us on our toes, but the satisfaction of seeing it all come together makes every challenge worth it.

Timeless Elegance, A 2,225 sq. ft. flat transformed in Just 28 Days!

We recently completed the interiors for a 2,225 sq. ft. flat at SFS Haveli in just 28 days.

SFS Haveli is a thoughtfully designed community of 18 homes, located just a stone’s throw from Kochi Holiday Inn, making it highly accessible from the Bypass.

One of the standout features of this project is the builder’s emphasis on greenery, with lush plants and trees incorporated into both the building and terrace spaces. Additionally, each residence includes a muttam (courtyard), a traditional architectural element that enhances privacy while fostering a sense of community living.

The biggest challenge for this project was the tight deadline, as the client had family events planned. We also had to work within strict timing restrictions, ensuring all tasks were completed by 6 PM daily to avoid disturbing other residents—a thoughtful policy by the management.

For this project, Varsha and I chose to embrace a more vibrant color palette, a departure from the pastel tones we often use. This decision was influenced by the dark blue floor tiles installed by the builder, which set the foundation for our design choices. Despite the time constraints, it was a rewarding experience, and Ideal Interior Solutions executed the project flawlessly within the set pace.

Blending Tradition with Modernity

I recently had the privilege of completing my 150th project, a milestone that fills me with immense pride and gratitude. The client, Mr. Nidhi, entrusted me with the extraordinary opportunity to blend the timeless beauty of traditional architecture with the convenience and comfort of modern living. Situated near a revered temple, the home was conceived as a living tribute to our rich cultural heritage, while also embracing the practical needs of today’s lifestyle.

Drawing from my experience in restoring heritage homes, I was keenly aware of the challenges often associated with older structures, such as out-dated toilets, plumbing, wiring, and energy inefficiency. However, with this project, we had the unique opportunity to start afresh. We decided to construct a new structure on the site of the family's existing house, meticulously ensuring that every detail honored the traditional aesthetic they desired.

The journey was both challenging and incredibly rewarding. Sourcing materials that truly complemented the traditional design required careful consideration and collaboration. I was fortunate to work with a dedicated team, led by Mr. Ramdas, who managed the construction with exceptional commitment, ensuring that every aspect was executed to perfection. Er. Varsha played a pivotal role as the architect and designer, bringing her creativity and expertise to the project, ensuring that every element resonated with the heritage style we aimed to achieve.

The woodwork, masterfully crafted by Mr. Shoby, added the final touch of authenticity, imbuing the home with the warmth and character reminiscent of a bygone era. The result is a residence that not only meets the demands of modern living but also stands as a beautiful homage to our cultural past. The home features six bedrooms, with two of the bedrooms accommodating two king-size cots each, designed to host the client’s extended family for gatherings.

This project has been a deeply fulfilling experience, and I am sincerely grateful to Mr. Nidhi and Mrs. Nisha for placing their trust in me once again. This is the second home I’ve had the honor of designing for them, and their confidence in my work has made this journey truly special.

Finally a website......

When someone asks me what I do for a living besides teaching dentistry, I tell them I'm into interiors professionally. Inevitably, the next question is, "Do you have a website?" To which I often sheepishly reply, "I have a page."

Well, after a prolonged bout of procrastination, I finally put together a website called Illusions Magic of Interiors.
