Job Title: Plumber(କଳ ପାଇପ ମିସ୍ତ୍ରୀ)

Plumber Job Purpose:

Installs, maintains, and repairs pipes and fixtures associated with heating, cooling, water distribution, and sanitation systems in residential and commercial structures. Fixes domestic appliances, such as dishwashers and gas cookers. Inspects drainage and other plumbing systems for compliance with local and national regulations.

Plumber Job Duties:

Interprets blueprints and building specifications to map layout for pipes, drainage systems, and other plumbing materials

Installs pipes and fixtures, such as sinks and toilets, for water, gas, steam, air, or other liquids

Installs supports for pipes, equipment,
and fixtures prior to installation

Assembles fittings and valves for installation

Modifies length of pipes, fixtures, and other plumbing materials as needed for a building

Uses saws and pipe cutters as necessary

Installs heating and air-conditioning systems, including water heaters

Collaborates with contractors, construction workers, electricians, pipefitters, and steamfitters in installing and repairing plumbing

Tests plumbing systems for leaks and other problems

Analyses problem and identifies appropriate tools and materials for repair

Chooses plumbing materials based on budget, location, and intended uses of building

Follows health and safety standards and complies with building codes

Having greasy surfaces in the kitchen is quite common. It may be the bench tops, kitchen sink or even the floor. Remove the grease by using a microfiber towel and white vinegar to wipe everything. To avoid this problem all together, polish the surfaces using olive oil every 6-12 months.

4. Lost pan lids
If you keep your pan lids in random cupboards after washing them, they can be easily misplaced. Perhaps they will fall under the cupboard or on other places that you might not access easily. You can avoid this problem by putting them in a specific area that you can access easily. For example, hanging them beside your cupboard door so that you can reach them quickly.

5. Kitchen drawers that stick
Are your kitchen drawers tough to open after closing them? Forcing you to open them using a lot of muscle? If they start getting sticky, remove them completely and wash the runners using dish soap. By adding a few drops of household lubricant on the runners, they will improve to almost perfect again.

6. Insufficient light
Light is an essential part of the kitchen. It enables you to cook comfortably without messing up anything. Your kitchen can have light issues if your window/s are not big enough, or if your kitchen is located in a place where there isn’t enough light during the day. You might also be using low-quality bulbs that don’t supply enough light. Consider installing bright bulbs that provide enough light in your kitchen.

7. Blockages in the kitchen sink
Your kitchen sink can block if you pour water with solid food residue over it. If your kitchen sink blocks easily, you might need to use a small pump or plunger to try to push air inside the sink so that it can be unblocked. In case the problem persists, you will need to hire a plumber to fix it for you.

8. Broken water pipes
When the pipes that supply water to your kitchen break, water will leak and flow in every corner of your kitchen, starting under the sink. This can be quite uncomfortable and also dangerous. Try to tie the area of the pipe leaking water with a nylon paper before the plumber arrives. You need the emergency services of a plumber to fix an issue like this.
