Division reigns in South Asia today. Baluchistan is a divided, conflicted region in Western Pakistan. Despite being considered an integral part of Pakistan, the Balochi people have long suffered discrimination. A terror campaign claiming numerous lives led to state sponsored repression. Indeed, neither side can claim righteousness nor morality, and both sides can claim heroes and villains.
With the ever present threat of the Taliban in Afghanistan, and the dreaded ISIL expanding eastwards, the world cannot allow South Asia to collapse. Yet the calls for self-determination and liberty from the Balochi people are resounding, finding support from a host of International leaders like Indian Prime Minister Modi.
Equilibria MUN introduces the United Nations Security Council; a double delegation committee, convening to arrive at a solution to Resolve the Conflict in Baluchistan. As delegates you must work to bring peace to this troubled land, but carefully, for in the old world men have long memories.
