Every collection tells a different story when it becomes part of a home's daily rhythms.

The SĀR Residence in Pune is more than a home for our collections.
It's where they are lived with, every day.
In the frame: the RISE collection.

At , sustainability is not an initiative—it is a way of thinking. It informs how we source materials, how we approach making, and how we imagine the life of an object long after it leaves our workshop. Every design decision is an opportunity to create with greater intention, ensuring that longevity, repair, and renewal are considered from the very beginning.

It also informs the SĀR Sustainability System (SSS), our commitment to designing furniture that can be repaired, upgraded, and lived with for generations.

Before creating something new, it may be worth asking what already exists.

BLOOM by for began with one question: When does a material's life actually end?

In many Indian homes, the kitchen is where knowledge passes down most quietly. It happens as much through instruction as it does through observation, repetition, and years of watching the habits of hands accustomed to daily rhythms.

Flawless emerged from reflecting on these everyday rituals and the ways they evolve across generations. The rolling board and pin do not prescribe a correct technique, neither through use nor through form.

Crafted from Red Agra sandstone which offers natural grip and shaped from reclaimed stone fragments, no two pieces are entirely alike. Their subtle irregularities are retained; an acknowledgment that use, adaptation, and imperfection are what give rituals meaning over time.

Part of the Rituals collection by SĀR Studio.

The SĀR Residence was never conceived as a showroom.
Designed by , it was imagined as a place for living, learning, gathering, and exchange.

Over the years, the Residence has hosted designers, architects, artists, thinkers and collaborators who have shaped the journey of SĀR over the years.

For those who wish to spend time with the collections, understand our ethos more deeply, or experience the world from which SĀR emerges—we invite you to become part of the (growing) SĀR family.

Some doors open through curiosity.

After months of research, prototyping, and collaboration, we present HOOF in its entirety.

Designed by for , the collection takes inspiration from India's equestrian leather craft heritage: the curve of a horse’s hoof, the silhouette of the saddle, the tension of detailed stitches and the elegant precision of posture became foundational motifs for this series that brings motion into stillness.

HOOF encompasses three chair typologies, a dining table and a work desk—crafted in rubber wood (economy) and ash wood (premium)—and BIFMA-certified for use across institutional spaces as well.

HOOF is now available for purchase through our flagship store: SĀR Residence, Pune.

This is SĀR's new collection HOOF taking shape behind-the-scenes, no staging, no polish.

HOOF was developed through continuous prototyping between leatherworkers, fabricators, craftsmen, and the studio — testing tension, proportions, joinery, comfort, and the behaviour of materials through use.

These moments matter to us as much as the final object, because the process of making carries its own honesty.
