Hope All of you are doing good and Fit and Fine 👍.
Today we will talk about Copper and Alluminium conductors and their Properties and Comparison between them both 🙂
COPPER AND ALLUMINIUM both conductors are used to carry High/Low voltage connecting controls to appliances as well both conductors are used in Windings of Electric motors, Generators and Transformers etc.
CONDUCTIVITY
Copper has High Conductivity i:e 100%
Alluminium has low Conductivity. I:e 61%
STRENGTH
Copper has good strength so it can be Bent and Twisted without breaking.
Alluminium has not such strength and it gets break when Twisted or bending.
COST
Copper conductor is costly
Alluminium conductor is not much costly
It's 3-4 times cheaper than copper.
FLEXIBILITY
Copper conductor is much Flexible than Alluminium
WEIGHT
Alluminium conductor is 70% lighter in weight than Copper conductor and it minimises cost of power Transmission lines being less in cost.
CURRENT CARRYING CAPACITY
Copper has more current carrying capacity than Alluminium.
For example 2.5 sq mm copper conductor can carry load of 24 Amperes on other side same 2.5 sq mm Alluminium conductor can carry load of just 18 Amperes.
JOINTS
Joints in Copper conductors never get loose or heated up while joints in Alluminium conductors get heated up easily and not much reliable.

Crompton Greaves 75 H.P 1440 RPM Slip Ring kind motor came in my Repair company last days.
After checking it we found its Rotor as BURNT.
All process of Dismantle of winding, and Rewinding is shown with pictures along with its Winding Data.

Installed a 32.5 KVA Genset in a Cold Storage Industry last days. 3 Cylinder Air cooled Kirloskar Engine + 32.5 K V.A Stamp Ford Alternator 👍 Gave Satisfactory Load results upto 38.5 Amperes per phase 😊

Sump Pump Running Test . You can see it's Dipped in a Pail of water and it's pumping out water when Float Switch moved to Upward Position (On Position)

Crompton Parkinson 25 H.P /960 RPM (Old Model) Motor on Trial after Rewinding. Tried it on Single Phase 220 volts 👍
Super Enameled wire used is 18 S.W.G 4 wires, 22 Turns per coil, Coil pitch is 1 to 10, Weight per coil is 700 grams, Winding is Single layer type and connections are Simple 😊
Result is AWESOME 👌
