PROCESS OF WORK
Preparation of iron of article – three different steel is used for this process, Carbon Steel High Steel and soft steel iron. These three steel is burn to a define temperature and afterward these melted steel is grind in the grinder uptill full mixing. These mixed steel is used for producing Iron plate and by using tools design are made in these plates and then these plates were burn and Iron sheet are made. These iron sheet is used for producing sword, shields, ancient Knife, stick, Box etc. This is art is called as Damascus craft.

Gahloth article impex is manufacture kind of accessories & koftagari articles, Damascus with interactive carving and silver or gold work as per as buyer’s specification. Koftgari means “precious metal pressing. It is an over lay art which is done by pressing Gold/Silver wire by special tool on cross-hatching and then it is heated and pressed by a polish Hakik stone( (Normal stone is not used).The craft is indented to enrich the surface of the metal of which the article is made. The base metal used is steel, and the decoration is done most frequently in finely drawn silver but sometimes in gold. The precious metals are used in their pure or fine state. Beautiful Handles are made for daggers (Katar) in the shapes of animal heads (like Lion, Horse and Parrot etc.). And the blade resembles famous Damascus steel.In this technique the surface of the metal object to be ornamented is evenly scratched to create a rough finely lined surface, heated on a stove until its red hot and allowed to cool naturally. The object is clamped in a vice and the process of embedding wire into the metal is begun- Silver or Gold wire is laid on the abraded metallic surface and pressed; the wire is further flattened with the aid opni or moonstone.Different demos of Kofatgiri Art you can see in Gahloth Articles Impex.
