Grameena Vayanasala Vettathur Library The Vettathur Grameena Vayanasaya is one of the "Grade A" public libraries in Kerala and is in Malappuram district, located in Vettathur.

It is affiliated to Kerala State Library Council and has a collection of more than 25000 books on various subjects. It was established earlier in 1957 as with a good collection of books and opened for all public.. A Genaral Library ,Referance Library, Mobile Library , Balavedi , Arts & Sports Club and several cultural events happened through many years in this village. Apart from revenues from mem

bers, the library receives a government grant form theKerala State Government. It includes a good amount for purchasing new books and other library activities. Library also gets grants from the local punchayat and different government sources. Around 500 new books are adding every year to the existing collection. Library organizing social programs .The major event celebrate here is Thiruvonam. On the day library organize different cultural programs and celebrate Onam with the entire people in Vettathur. Library has an Administration Committee of 9 members for a period of 2 years, elected by the library members. Election procedures are equal to a basic Indian election method and the candidates are among the library members. Youngsters of Vettathur commonly active in election and do the administration of library. വെട്ടത്തൂർ ഗ്രാമീണ വായനശാലയിൽ "മലയാളം പഠിക്കാം വായനയെ വരവേൽക്കാം" എന്ന സന്ദേശമുയർത്തി വായനക്കളരി സംഘടിപ്പിച്ചു. വെട്ടത്തൂർ ഗ്രാമ പഞ്ചായത്ത് അംഗം നീന വിജയൻ്റെ അധ്യക്ഷതയിൽ പഞ്ചായത്ത് അംഗം ഷെറീന ടി വി വായനക്കളരി ഉദ്ഘാടനംചെയ്തു. തുടർന്ന് വര, വർണ്ണം കഥ, കവിത, നാടൻപ്പാട്ട് എന്നീ വിഷയങ്ങളിൽ ക്ലസ് സംഘടിപ്പിച്ചു. താലൂക്ക് ലൈബ്രറികൗൺസിൽ ജോ: സെക്രട്ടറി ജയപ്രകാശ് കോക്കാട്, ചിത്രകലാദ്ധ്യാപകൻ നരായണൻമാസ്റ്റർ, അജിത്ത് വെട്ടത്തൂർ, സത്യജിത്ത് പുളിക്കാ തൊടി എന്നിവർ നേതൃത്വം നല്കി. വായനശാല എക്സിക്യൂട്ടീവ്കമ്മറ്റി അംഗങ്ങളായ പിഅസൈനാർ, എം ശശികുമാർ ആശംസകൾ അറിച്ച് സംസാരിച്ചു. 2025-26 NMMSE സ്കോളർഷിപ്പിന് യോഗ്യതനേടിയ ആദിത്യ പി റസിൻറസാക്ക് കെപി എന്നിവരെ അനുമോദിച്ചു.ബാലവേദി സെക്രട്ടറി ടി ബിസ്മ സ്വാഗതവും പ്രസിഡണ്ട് ഫസിൻ കെ നന്ദിയും പറഞ്ഞു.
