Meryl Savitri, Principal Designer at Savitri Studio, shares what stayed with her from an evening at Chowmahalla Palace curated by Vanto: the warmth of the experience and a new appreciation for what customisation can really mean.

At 10 by 12 feet, this statement door blends the warmth of wood with the quiet brilliance of brass. A fine brass grid adds a sense of timeless craft, while its clean proportions and pivot mechanism lend the design a distinctly contemporary ease.

When different eras come together, something entirely its own takes shape.

Specially bent pipes create a contemporary silhouette, while solid wood arms bring the warmth and character of timeless craft. Tumbled metal legs add texture and depth, balancing the modern with the familiar and bringing contemporary functionality to a design rooted in material and form.

A setting where eras come together.

Rippled glass meets the natural variation of marble, while oak veneer brings warmth to the composition. Beneath it, tumbled gold metal adds a subtle richness, bringing together materials with distinctly different characters.

The chairs continue the conversation. Specially bent pipes shape their contemporary silhouette, while solid wood arms and tumbled metal legs introduce warmth, tactility and a sense of crafted detail.

Stone, wood, glass and metal, each with its own language, brought together in a setting that feels both rooted and of the moment.
