A shameless couple approached me, requesting the design of their 3BHK apartment. As part of the formalities, they paid a small advance of ₹25,000. I visited the site, assisted with tile selection in the market, and even guided their mason to ensure the site would be ready for ex*****on while we worked on the design. After several revisions and corrections, my team and I completed the design and prepared to begin ex*****on.
Everything seemed fine until suddenly, the client started making excuses, claiming they didn’t have the budget for ex*****on. They consulted a carpenter who apparently told them, “Yeh toh itne mein hi ho jayega.” I told them it was fine if they wanted to handle the ex*****on themselves, but they would still need to pay my designer fee for the work done. To my shock, they argued, “If we’re not executing with you, why should we pay the designer fee?”
I was appalled. My team and I had poured two months of hard work into the project, only to hear them refuse to pay. The argument escalated, with the client rudely dismissing my work, saying, “I’ve seen such designs before; everything is available on the internet. Your stencil designs are useless.”
Yesterday, while visiting the building for unrelated work, I saw that my designs had been implemented almost exactly as I had planned, though poorly executed by their carpenter. It was clear they had used my work without acknowledging or compensating me. Now my question to you disrespectfully moron couple (client)…
