Our label ‘atra’ (Sanskrit for ‘here’) is a new & exciting concept bringing Ajitabh Verma’s collaboration with artisanal craft-workers to fruition with contemporary pieces.
The journey began more than 20 years ago, germinating from working with ‘Swaraj Mainee Textiles’ which inspired the passion & the dreams that led to the creation of atra.
By designing for global brands of retail & hospitality industries, atra has more than twenty years’ experience of creating exclusive textiles and lifestyle pieces using traditional & contemporary craft work; such as – hand looms, hand & machine embroideries, block printing, dyeing techniques such as shibori.
