'The Sculpted She', an exhibition of terracotta sculptures by Alakananda Sengupta, will be on view till 30th April.
Apart from her terracotta works, the exhibition features some of her older creations in bronze and wood, her drawings and sketches, and terracotta and ceramic works by her young students from remote villages in Bengal.

অলকানন্দা সেনগুপ্তের টেরাকোটা ভাস্কর্যের প্রদর্শনী ‘The Sculpted She’-র প্রারম্ভিক অনুষ্ঠান ছিল গতকাল। শিল্পীর সঙ্গে কথোপকথনে ছিলেন শিল্প-ইতিহাসবেত্তা, অধ্যাপক মৃণ্ময়ী দেব। শ্রোতা সমাগম এবং তাঁদের প্রত্যক্ষ-পরোক্ষ অংশগ্রহণে আমরা আপ্লুত, অভিভূত। দ্য বেঙ্গল স্টোর-এর পক্ষ থেকে সকলকে আন্তরিক ধন্যবাদ। শুভ নববর্ষ!

Last evening marked the opening ceremony of ‘The Sculpted She’, an exhibition of terracotta sculptures by Alakananda Sengupta. The event featured an insightful conversation between the artist and art historian Professor Mrinmoyee Deb.

We are deeply moved and overwhelmed by the presence of the audience and their active participation. On behalf of The Bengal Store, we extend our heartfelt gratitude to everyone.
