What remains when balance begins to fade?

Collection Neela Ratri reflects on a moment of quiet transition, where animals and ancestral craft exist in delicate balance.

Born from the Coexistence Collection, it speaks of harmony and peace as shared conditions, shaped by generations of knowledge, care, and human making.

This collection is a gentle reminder that if we do not become more conscious at dusk, we risk losing not just species and skills, but the wisdom and equilibrium that hold our world together.

Under vaulted ceilings, EDIDA 2025 at Afghan Church in Mumbai felt less like an award ceremony and more like a pilgrimage for design. A gathering of makers, thinkers and dreamers, celebrating ideas that shape culture and honour craft.

An evening etched in our memory.

Humbled that a seat born from memory, body and making resonates beyond its origins.

Coiled along the backrest, the serpent is meticulously inlaid using multiple species of natural solid wood, celebrating the precision of craft and the delicate coexistence found in our forests. As with every piece in our Co-existence Collection, this work is both art and awareness; inviting admiration, reflection, and conversation.

Across belief systems, serpents hold layered meaning, wisdom and renewal, mystery and protection, power and grace. This piece honours that duality, becoming not just a functional seat, but an heirloom of symbolism.
