Geopathic Stress

What you need to know about Geopathic Stress in just 5 minutes

About Geopathic Stress - what is it The term Geopathic is derived from the Latin term ‘Geo’ meaning earth, and ‘pathic’ meaning stress. Lines of this energy are referred to as Geopathic Stress lines.

The Earth has a natural electromagnetic field that is at a frequency of roughly 7.8 Hz, one of the Schumann Resonances. This field is distorted as it passes through underground streams, mineral deposits and other obstructions, and the frequency changes to a level that is harmful to most humans. This is what we know as Geopathic Stress and Geopathic Stress in Ireland typically occurs along lines that follow the course of underground rivers.

How do Geopathic Stress Lines affect us?
Geopathic stress lines have a powerful effect on our nerves system and the cells in our body. The most studied aspect of Geopathic Stress is on it's relation to cancer, and there appears to be a high correlation between people sleeping on Geopathic Stress lines and the onset of cancer. People living in buildings effected by Geopathic Stress often have persisten illnesses and are often referred to as having Sick Building Syndrome.

Under normal circumstances, when we sleep our bodies resistance drops by up to two thirds, that is when we rebuild our energy levels, build new body cells and strengthen our immune systems. When these normal sleeping processes are interfered with we find that we have less energy, are more susceptible to diseases and are more irritable.

Birds are believed to navigate by Geopathic Lines, animals know not to nest on them, but we have lost that sense. One of my clients recently told me a story about a house that he did not build on family land because of wise words from his father "cattle never settle there, and if they don't settle there neither should you". This is 'wisdom of the land' and we need to listen to it.

Typical symptoms of living on Geopathic Stress are Cancer, ME, persistent illness,a sense of unease, depression or tension. Some houses are known as sick houses, and it is often due to untreated Geopathic Stress lines. It is equivalent to how we understand the effects of living under a high voltage power line. It is a subtle energy that suppresses our body’s defence and repair systems, and over a period of time can have a profound effect on our health.

There are also other effects from spending time on geopathic lines...

What are the signs of Geopathic Stress?depressed lady from Geopathic Stress
There are many tell-tale signs of Geopathic Stress, however no conditions that can be exclusively attributed to it, The only way to be sure about Geopathic Stress lines in your home is to test your building. That said, the principal signs are;
Ø Persistent illness that does not clear up despite good treatment. Sick building syndrome.
Ø Illness such as Cancer, M.E., or Multiple Sclerosis.
Ø Wasting diseases and premature aging
Ø Hyperactive children and children with attention/learning problems
Ø Feeling better when away from home. If you have problems that appear to clear up or improve while on holiday and they return when you settle back home.
Ø Wake up feeling worn out, or feel worse in the mornings, or other sleeping disorders. Lacking energy.
Ø Stress and a general feeling of nervousness
Ø Depression
Ø Infertility or miscarrages
Ø Persistent bedwetting in children, tense or crying babies (they are more sensitive than ‘grown ups’)

Animals and Plants
bee in springMany animals and plants are attracted to Geopathic Lines and thrive on them. Animals that like Geopathic Lines include cats, bees, wasps, and ants. Besides us, creatures that react poorly include sheep, cattle, horses and dogs. Beekeepers will benefit from having Geopathic Lines moved to pass through their hives, where as owners of horses, sheep, cattle or dogs can reduce the chances of persistent illness or poor temperaments by removing lines form the pens where their animals sleep.

Many plants also thrive in Geopathic areas

What can I do to fix Geopathic Stress?
The good news is that Geopathic Stress lines are relatively easy to identify and there are many ways to remove them. Once the lines are identified you can;
Ø Move the path of the Geopathic Line
Ø Move your bed out of it’s way
Ø Ground the line by using copper or brass staples, a copper ring or a steel stake (my preferred solution)
Ø Block the line by using a cork based barrier
Ø Neutralise the line by using an electronic cancellation device or crystals

The important thing to remember is that Geopathic Lines can be removed in almost all cases. The first thing that you need to do is to identify if you have lines through your building.

Geopathic Lines are part of nature and
once we know where they are, we can remove them.

5 Feng Shui Tips To Clear Negative Energy In Your Home

Words become full expressions of energy. Every utterance we make carries its own power and intention, curating the backdrop of our lives.

So, if a client’s home feels sticky or heavy, I start a conversation about words.

I want to know:

Is there open communication flow?
Are conversations usually enjoyable? Or are arguments and criticism common?
What entertainment is allowed? Any boundaries around media?
Where is a favorite spot in the home and why?
Dr. Maya Angelou believed words are things and that someday we will be able to measure their power. “They get on the walls. They get in your wallpaper. They get in your rugs and your upholstery and your clothes. And finally, they are into you.”

If we're guilty of some negative talk (and who isn’t?), how do we handle the frequencies it creates? After all, you can’t see words to clean them up; still, their residue is just as real.

With a few basic space-clearing techniques, we encourage buoyant energy to gather in our homes, enhancing its energetic orderliness while sustaining our own happiness.

1. Open windows.

Think about how amazing it feels when out in nature. The air is alive and electric with potent life force, often filling us with fresh hope. When we open windows, we invite this same wild grace into our space. The outside air beckons our home to enjoy a deep cleansing breath, exhaling negativity out. Invite the ripples of a breeze into your surroundings daily, if even for only a few minutes.

2. Burn incense.

As mindful as we strive to be in conversation, we sometimes say too much. And as carefully as we filter what seeps in through media, it is an easy slip. So, keep a stash of incense sticks handy.

Incense has a magical quality that shifts energy immediately. Burn incense after a stormy argument or any lingering unpleasantness — it restores balances in our surroundings. Some practitioners love white sage; others love sandalwood. Experiment, and use what your nose LOVES. Our intention while clearing the air carries its own irrefutable power.

3. Sweep.

Vacuuming works well when keeping an area pristine of dust or dirt — both which carry low-wattage energy. However, it is the symbolic gesture of sweeping with a broom that creates a palpable energetic shift. Vacuum as a maintenance ritual. But when energy feels static, sweep. And don’t worry if an area is carpeted — the bristles don’t even need to touch the ground. Sweep toward a door or an open window. This ritual becomes symbolic of sweeping out the old to make room for refreshments.

4. Take a sea salt bath.

When left unattended, toxic words eventually get into us. They pile up and we feel the effects weeks later in unexpected outbursts or clinging bad moods. Slip into a salt bath for 20 minutes — this renews our personal energetic fields immediately. Need an easy recipe? Add 2 — 4 cups of sea salt with a few drops of a favorite essential oil (or a couple orange peel rinds) to a full bath, and let yourself soak.

5. Use beautiful words.

Habits don’t change overnight, so try this instead: make it a goal to use the word JOY or LOVE 50 times a day. When we pirouette through our home with gorgeous words, the world turns in our favor. Words create a gravitational force, attracting their likeness into our lives.

Words absolutely shape our tender trajectories, each making its own energetic deposit in our surroundings. Observe the words spoken in your space and how they make you feel. Incorporate a few of these techniques into your daily rhythm, and adopt the one(s) that work for you. When we honor their power, words fuel our ability to live a really good life

'Don't build schools or homes near pylons', warn experts

Homes and schools should not be built next to power lines because of grave health risks to children, a major study concluded yesterday.
The three-year investigation said there was clear evidence that living near an electricity line could be linked to fatal childhood diseases such as leukaemia.
Its authors said the Government should consider banning new building within 65 yards of overhead cables.
As many as 100,000 homes sit within this 'danger zone' which previous studies have shown can trigger fatal diseases in adults and children alike.
Governments have resisted previous calls for action because expert opinion had been divided on the scale of risk.
But the new report, published by SAGE, a collective of academics, medical charities and representatives of the electricity industry, points to compelling evidence of serious health dangers.
It says that childhood leukaemia is the biggest threat for families living near power lines. A quarter of the 400 children who contract the disease each year die.
The report cites a list of other linked illnesses and conditions including breast and brain cancer, miscarriage and Alzheimer's disease.
It will stoke fears - as yet unproved - about the safety of common electrical devices such as mobile phones and computers.
The concerns focus on the electric and magnetic fields produced wherever electricity is generated, transmitted or used.
SAGE plans to write another report on the health effects of electricity substations which are thought to generate strong electromagnetic fields.
People are thought to be most at risk if they live within 65 yards of a high-voltage power line - although the 'danger zone' can extend up to 160 yards. Smaller wooden pole power lines - a common sight in the countryside - are not a risk, the report says.
No rules prevent homes or schools from being built "right up to and indeed underneath overhead lines", the report warned.
In other countries, including Australia, all new power lines are built underground.
SAGE, which was formed in 2004 with the task of advising the Government, says a ban is the 'best-available option' for cutting the risk.
"We urge Government to make a clear decision on whether to implement this option or not," it concluded.
SAGE did not call for stronger action because there were major differences of opinion between members.
But some campaigners said a blanket ban was a matter of urgency.
Michael Jayne, of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors, one of the groups represented, said: "The Government should legislate to avoid any potential health risks from overhead higher voltage power lines."
Alasdair Philips, of the campaign group Powerwatch, said: "The evidence is now overwhelming that building homes near to power lines isn't a clever thing to do."
The charity Children with Leukaemia said a 65-yard ban was "an absolute minimum" and called for a cordon of 220 yards.
Yesterday the Department of Health said: "The Government will need time to consider the implications of the report's conclusions and recommendations."
Denis Henshaw, professor of human radiation effects at the University of Bristol, and another member of the group, said the report should have been more forthright.
He said laboratory studies clearly showed that magnetic fields enhance the effects of cancer-causing agents in humans.
The report also raised concerns about the electric and magnetic fields inside the home caused by radios, televisions and even washing machines and cookers.
It called for the Government to advise householders on reducing risks, for example by moving electrical equipment away from the bedside. Equipment manufacturers should also investigate how to limit electric and magnetic fields, the authors said.
Some of the most dramatic evidence of the dangers of overhead power lines comes from Stoke.
A survey of just 67 households living within 50 yards of high-voltage cables there found one case of childhood leukaemia and 11 of other types of cancer.
No cases of the disease were found in a similar group of homes well away from the power lines.
The 67 homes reported 18 miscarriages, compared with just one in the control group, as well as higher rates of depression, digestive problems and insomnia.
Although the research was not carried out by scientists, the study - undertaken by the Trentham Action Group - formed part of the Sage group's inquiries.
Linda Tatton's son David Smith, 7, died from leukaemia while she was living in the shadow of a pylon in the Trentham area of Stoke in 1979.
Yesterday she said: "Ever since David's death I've been convinced power lines were to blame, and if this report spares other families from going through the pain we did I'll be very pleased."
David's death was one of two cases of childhood leukaemia uncovered by the group's work.
The 67-household survey, carried out in nearby Werrington, also uncovered a series of health problems suffered by the family of shop assistant Angela Gasken. Her family has lived directly under power cables since the 1960s.
Mrs Gasken's brother died of leukaemia aged 18 months shortly after their mother died of kidney failure. Their father died of heart failure ten years ago and Mrs Gasken has suffered two miscarriages.
"It's a strong possibility that the lines caused my miscarriages," she said. "It is very frightening. I have suffered depression too and it wouldn't surprise me if that is linked."
