Not every refurbishment means starting from scratch.
When we began the redesign of the bar at , we quickly discovered how much the club members loved the original tub chairs and banquette seating.
Thankfully, these pieces had good structural bones, great character and so, they just needed a little TLC.
Instead of ripping them out and replacing them, we decided to give them a second life.
Reupholstered, re-foamed, re-polished, we brought them back to their former glory.
We then introduced some new, bespoke furniture pieces alongside them like fresh tub chairs and tables. And in the end, the bar felt refreshed without losing the soul that made the members love it in the first place.
This is exactly why investing in quality furniture for commercial or hospitality spaces matters.
Pieces built well don’t get thrown out every time there’s a redesign.
If they are good in quality they are restored and at Conran, we never replace a piece that holds history if it just needs a new lease of life.
