We are writing to advise you that the Department of Health has today advised that the Minister for Health, Simon Harris TD has signed regulations (S.I. No. 206 of 2020) HEALTH ACT 1947 (SECTION 31A - TEMPORARY RESTRICTIONS) (COVID-19) (NO. 2) REGULATIONS 2020 .
These regulations provide for the unwinding of certain restrictions provided for in S.I No. 121 of 2020 and also provide for continued restrictions for some business and services.
Section 7 of the regulation states that a relevant person shall take all reasonable steps to ensure that members of the public are not permitted, or otherwise granted, access to a premises in a relevant geographical location, or to a part of such premises, where a relevant business or service is carried on or otherwise provided.
"Relevant business or service" is defined in Schedule 2 to the S.I. and includes the following businesses:
The following services insofar as they are provided on a commercial basis: (a) cosmetic nail care or nail styling; (b) hair care or hair styling; (c) the making available for use on a sunbed premises of sunbeds (within the meaning of the Public Health (Sunbeds) Act 2014 (No. 12 of 2014)).
Therefore, Sunbed Premises are subject to the temporary restrictions as outlined in S.I. 206 of 2020 ,and should not currently operate,
These Regulations came into operation today and shall remain in operation until the 29/6/20.
This Department of Health advice supersedes all previous Government advice.
Further updated advice on reopening will be provided by the Department of Health prior to the 29/6/22
