🏷️ A pair of Art Nouveau glass display cabinets €250

Early 20th century carved wood and bevelled glass display cabinets.

Glass on three sides with a mirror in the back. The mirror is mercury an shows signs of aging which adds to the character of the piece.

One glass shelf in each.

Lovely ornate brass pull handle.

These could be placed atop a counter or wall mounted. I believe they would have originally had a shelf linking the two.

These would be great in a bathroom or kitchen for glassware. Perfect to display a collection or even as bedside cabinets.

These are ONLY available for collection. There is too much glass to risk sending

Things to note:

* the top panel on one of the cabinet has a damaged section. See pictures

* the doors can be prone to sticking a little. Still totally fine.
* There is some light pitting to the glass door of one of the cabinets. Barely noticeable

Thank you to everyone who has kept me so very busy over the last few weeks.

So busy in fact that I am only now posting these teasers of the new stock I will have with me on Saturday.

Come and see me and all my vintage treasures in front of from 11 to 3pm.

I’ll have crockery and tableware to adorn your festive tables, quirky and decorative pieces to gift to a loved one or to yourself, lots of vintage baskets of all shapes and sizes and some small pieces of furniture.

With me I will also have foliage bunches to buy to make your own table centres or Christmas wreaths and I will have a few ready to go wreaths as well.

Join us in on Tuesday 16th December at 6.30pm for a Festive wreath making workshop.

I’ll provide all materials needed for you to create your own door wreath with a selection of foraged and seasonable foliage.

If you have any foliage or ornaments you would like to bring to include in your creation please feel free.

Alain will treat us to some mulled wine and a mince pie to keep us going.

Booking is essential as spaces are limited. €60 per person. There is one pay what you can slot for anyone who needs, just get in touch.

I love creating unique one of a kind installations, everything is handmade by me. I use plastic free mechanics, and it’s usually possible to do freestanding if attaching to the building is not possible.

All the foliage is foraged or sourced from sustainable farms. I include lots of scented stuff and some florals I dried over the summer.

Installations available in Newport, Westport and surrounding areas. I can also post smaller pieces.

🏷️ Industrial steel workbench with an oil rust look top and reclaimed wood shelf.
It’s a standout piece that would make a great desk or retail display table.

🏷️ French 1920s brass Art Deco hat and coat rail or kitchen pot stand and hooks €235

This is a very special piece

When I bought it it was black. Caked in what looked like soot and grime, I had no idea it was brass hiding under there

Many hours of cleaning later revealed this stunning 1920s Art Deco rail

It could be a hat and coat rail with hats sitting atop the two parallel bars and coats hanging from the 6 sliding hooks.

Alternatively, it could just as well be a pot stand and rail for the kitchen. This might explain why it has turned black if it hung above a range for decades.
Pots would sit atop the shelf and pans or utensils would hang from the hooks.

The three rails are held together by a beautiful arabesque and mounted on a piece of oak

The 6 hooks slide along the bottom rail but cannot be removed. This is an indication it might have been intended for a public space with fixed hooks to avoid theft. In a train carriage or waiting room perhaps

Whether you choose to use it in a country kitchen or hallway it’s a showstopper and deserves pride of place.

You know what’s better than the souks in Morocco?
Don’t get me wrong, I love the souks. They’re intense and a bit overwhelming at times but that’s part of their charm.

But leaving the beaten track and finding the local flea markets was a real joy. We found some real treasures and if I hadn’t been limited by the excess baggage I could have easily gone a bit crazy!
I kind of did if the overweight luggage fee I paid for is anything to go by 🙈

I have been too quiet on here because for the past couple of months I have been back in North France working in the refugee camps.
I have been sourcing here on my days off as always and although I always start off with the best intentions of keeping social media here, the contrast is a bit much to manage at times!

I really wanted to share some of the beauty of the flea markets of Morocco from my Big Birthday trip in May.
