Last month, we gathered at Coolrain Mill to say farewell to Amaury Marajou de Mesmay as he completed his college internship with us.

Amaury joined the team from 1st June to 31st July 2026 as part of his double degree in Wood Engineering at École Supérieure du Bois and Agronomic Engineering at Bordeaux Sciences Agro.

It was a pleasure having Amaury as part of the team, and we wish him every success as he continues his studies and future career. Thank you, Amaury, and best of luck for the future! 👏🌲

Today, we say a special thank you and farewell to Dimitar, who is retiring from Coolrain Sawmills. 👏

Dimitar started working in the Mill on 19th April 2012, and after more than 14 years as part of the Coolrain team, today marks his final day with us.

Thank you, Dimitar, for your hard work and dedication over the years. We wish you a very happy, healthy and well-deserved retirement. Enjoy this exciting new chapter! 🎉

A big thank you to Michael Delaney, General Manager of the CJ Sheeran Group, for taking the time to meet with our welding learners at the METAC Training Centre.

As part of LOETB's full-time intensive welding programme, learners had the opportunity to hear from Michael about the CJ Sheeran Group, the diverse range of industries the company operates in, and the career opportunities available within the sector.

Visits from industry provide learners with a valuable connection to the workplace, helping them understand employer expectations while exploring potential career pathways.
