Peter Grant Woodcraft
My name is Peter Grant and I am based in Maynooth, Co. Kildare, Ireland. My passion is working with Wood, & nature, to create bespoke handcrafted wooden furnishings and spiritual crafts using sustainable native Irish woods such as Oak, Spalted Beech, Ash, Yew, Apple wood, Ceder, Spanish Chestnut to name a few.
My bespoke handcrafted furnishings include wooden Table Lamps, Wall Clocks, Tee Light Holders, Coffee Tables, Meditation Tables & Stools, Dinner Tables, Picnic Benches, Mirrors, Bowls, Wands, Bath Tables. Phone/Tablet Stands etc. I source my timber from fallen trees or trees in danger of falling which could be hundreds of years old or more from a number of Estates which I am lucky enough to have access to, as well as selected sawmills all around Ireland. I am honoured to have the ability to transform this wood into custom made pieces, so that the beauty of the wood can live on and can bring joy into people’s homes as a work of art.
It is my desire to work creatively and it is my love of nature, especially trees and woodland, that led me into making wooden handcrafted pieces. I am mostly self taught but have been fortunate enough to meet skilled craftworkers throughout my life who have been very generous in sharing their wisdom, knowledge and understanding of wood & nature with me.
At Peter Grant Woodcraft, I produce high quality bespoke wooden furnishings, gifts and spiritual crafts where each piece is unique and crafted to reflect the natural beauty and harmony of our native Trees. Each commissioned bespoke piece reflects the customers individuality and style.
