🌳Our oak beams used for king trusses🌳

If you are building a vaulted ceiling with timber trusses you can use our locally sourced Irish Oak or Cedar. We will cut the to the spec of your engineer and the trusses will forever be a feature in your home 😍.

High vaulted ceiling are having a bit of a moment across the Irish construction market so I said I'd share some pictures of a client's beautiful kitchen with our oak beams overhead.

Trusses are usually structual, or can be just aesthetic. If the trusses are structural, your engineer has got to sign off on the spec the size of beams and the type of truss .The photoed truss is the "scissors" type ✂.

The oak for this job was locally sourced and came from Kilcooley estate 🙌.

Hats off to the clients, I know they put their heart and soul into designing and building their beautiful home and we wish them many many years of happiness in it.

🔥🌳 Back with a ....burn? 🔥🌳

Our burnt Larch T&G Cladding 📷

We've been expiermenting with new ways of working timber during the quieter parts of lockdown.

In the coming weeks I will be posting our architectural woodware, all aimed at the construction & renovation market.

First up is our new burnt Larch T&G cladding which can be used used externally or internally. T&G'ed for ease of joining, the boards finish up at around 130mm x 19mm. This type of cladding makes a bold statement, and is fantastic as a feature on a external or internal wall 👌

Kudos to the client for letting us use his photographs. Check out the excellent way he fitted our timber, using lighting to emphasise the grain 🙌

We are now stocking a few different types of burnt Larch cladding, aswell as Cedar. I will be featuring all in the next few weeks.

As always the timber is Irish & all the work is done in-house .

Thank you all at for the opportunity to showcase what we make at your fantastic showroom !

This week we delivered a bookmatched Spanish Chestnut table with steel X legs painted matt black. Hundreds of years of character can be seen slab's grain.

Last year I made a slab table top and floors for and and was absolutely thrilled to be asked by Willie if we wanted to add any products to their showroom. The design of the table was specified by the team at .

Next to follow we will be our beams to the showroom and maybe cladding!

Howdy ! Hope ye are all keeping well out there! Hard to say how long the lockdown has been dragging on for, but I know I finished this top the day it began! Tabletop commission made pre-lockdown from Spalted Beech slabs with beveled edges. Client visited us to pick the slabs she liked and choose their orientation within the top.

So in light of COVID-19
- Earlier last week we closed to public visits.
-All orders can only be delivered in keeping with new guidelines.
-To avoid unnecessary contact, last week we setup a contactless card payment system with .
-Finally we pledge to blast any microbes of COVID-19 to kingdom come.

We hope to continue working behind the scenes in the interim until guidance changes. It's just two of us now and we're taking every precaution.

May many a pint of porter be drank over it !

First floor of the year completed earlier this month. Irish Oak with 3x premade feature panels. Oak was chosen for it's characteristic hardness that will withstand the pub's footfall. The trees originally came from the Castle park's grounds.

Thank you Nigel for choosing us and props to for laying it so well.

We create our flooring in-house starting with the tree and finishing with T&G floor boards, ready to be laid . We also make Irish Beech & Ash flooring 🌳

A hair raising view from the office today!

In the end we had no fallen trees here after Storm Brendan. Most windblown trees are cut into firewood - if you have a storm blown tree and want it turned into something better, give us a bell.

By turning timber destined for the fire into woodware, the wood's carbon is stored instead of released into the atmosphere. Mamma earth is then less angry :)
