Strawberries and Cream on the banks of Lough Foyle
In deference to the week that is in it with The Round The World Clipper Race coming to Lough Foyle once more. This is the largest sailing event in Ireland on our doorstep, make sure you pay them a visit! The beautiful sailing vessels have been on the Lough since morning queuing for their turn between Sweet Nellie’s Bay and Greencastle village to be piloted up to Derry, L/Derry. You know it is summer time when Wimbledon is on the telly and Sweet Nellie’s restaurant are doing a dessert special of fresh strawberries and cream or ice cream. If you really want to be naughty you can have all three.
