Hello ReFunk Community! 💚
An update from ReFunk founders:
As the fresh chapter of the New Year begins, we have decided that at this time our ReFunk chapter has come to an end. After 3 years of growing ReFunk from a university project into a business, we didn’t take this decision lightly, but it certainly felt like the right route for us.
ReFunk worked hard to mobilise the Irish upcycling community and made serious progress in the circular economy for furniture. We are immensely proud of the impact we made in such a short space of time including but not limited to:
👩🏻🎨 Supported over 100 upcyclers in Ireland in transforming their passion into business
🌍 Diverted 800 pieces of furniture from landfills
🪑 Hosting multiple up cycling workshops and pop up shops.
A heartfelt thank you to every single person who supported us along the way- including our wonderful online community 💕 We were inspired by the reception of an audience so willing to make more sustainable choices, and we hope you continue to do so! Whilst for now, we are all growing in our own directions, we are striving to take all that we have learnt forward with us into our current and future endeavours. You’ve not seen the last of us!
With warmth,
Anna, Ellen, Ellie, and Meredith x
