Celebrating 10 years of the designing and making of the Dommus Chair.

In 2018, Joseph Walsh made his debut in Asia with a solo exhibition of work at the Sogetsu Art Center in Tokyo, Japan. The exhibition marked the beginning of an ongoing collaboration and friendship with the gallery A Lighthouse called Kanata, founded by Wahei Aoyama.

Celebrating 10 years of designing and making the Dommus Chair.

To mark the occasion, we look back at a few special moments, including a commission of a suite of Dommus Chairs to accompany a Lumenoria Dining Table for a private residence in Paris.

Novasedes - A New Seat for

It was a great honour to create this unique piece for Schloss Hollenegg in Austria using the wood of a 100-year-old Elm of the very place.

From the natural material of the felled tree saved from elm disease, Joseph Walsh worked with the material to create an entirely new piece - Novasedes or “new seat” in Latin.

Novasedes, along with other pieces in the Liechtenstein’s special collection, features in AD Germany. Read the article by following the link in bio.
