Celebrating 10 years of the designing and making of the Dommus Chair.

In 2018, Joseph Walsh made his debut in Asia with a solo exhibition of work at the Sogetsu Art Center in Tokyo, Japan. The exhibition marked the beginning of an ongoing collaboration and friendship with the gallery A Lighthouse called Kanata, founded by Wahei Aoyama.

Joseph Walsh Studio is seeking a Carpenter to support ongoing infrastructural improvements and to collaborate between trades and with the Workshop team on large-scale projects.

Tasks and relevant competencies include joinery, timber framing, flooring, restoration, material preparation, maintenance and repairs.

Novasedes - A New Seat for

It was a great honour to create this unique piece for Schloss Hollenegg in Austria using the wood of a 100-year-old Elm of the very place.

From the natural material of the felled tree saved from elm disease, Joseph Walsh worked with the material to create an entirely new piece - Novasedes or “new seat” in Latin.
