HARTECAST AWARDED
Irish Rail Internal Seat Contract

Following on from our successful supply of platform seats and litter bins to Irish Rail since 2007, Hartecast is delighted to be awarded the contract for the supply of internal seats to Irish Rail stations, including Heuston, Connolly, Kent and Colbert Stations.

Inclusivity in Public Spaces
Street Furniture can play an important role in supporting inclusivity in public spaces. For example, the addition of accessible seating, such as wheelchair-friendly options, can help to make public spaces easier to navigate for people with disabilities.

This HC3000S Age Friendly Seat has dividing armrests to support people getting up from the seat.
Removing an armrest at one end of the seat assists people with Guide Dogs and other mobility-related requirements.
The yellow arms act as a guide to the visually impaired to help the seat stand out better.

We were delighted to take part in this wonderful project by Skibbereen Tidy Towns We hope that everyone who visits O’Donovan Rossa Memorial Park will enjoy this beautiful space.

We are delighted to announce that a major project has now been delivered to enhance the wonderful O’Donovan Rossa Memorial Park.

Inspired by the park’s listing in The Southern Star’s 2022 Five Great West Cork picnic locations and its description as “a lunchtime urban picnic spot” with “circular landscaping… circles within circles that make it a soothing space”, this project was born.

Today we installed two wonderful and wheelchair accessible picnic benches, the result of many months of effort across the Skibbereen community, businesses and local authority.

Our sincere thanks go to Fields of Skibbereen SuperValu and Spearline for generously sponsoring the top of the range picnic benches supplied by Hartecast Street Furniture and in keeping with the high quality street furniture in the car park behind Fields.

Many thanks to Cork County Council Community Activities Fund 2022 for the ground works grant award. This work was carried out by Ger O’Sullivan with support from the local county council team under Damien Murphy.

Please enjoy this wonderful space but remember to behind you. We are awaiting new signs to warn visitors that no dogs are allowed. This will ensure that the park is a safe and healthy place for children to play.

Smart technology enhances services in Edenderry!
Sensors and monitoring devices have been deployed as part of the ‘E-denderry’ project launched by Offaly County Council and wireless infrastructure provider Cellnex Ireland, to help manage parking, litter control and air quality.

Hartecast Street Furniture supplied the Street Furniture for this project and Cellnex has incorporated their sensors into the Hartecast Litter Bin (HC2054) using low-power wide-area (LoRaWAN) tech.
