Finished in a mix of bright colours and natural wood tones, with each set fully tried and tested by my own kids before leaving the workshop 👌🎯

“One man’s trash is another man’s treasure.”

This solid little footstool started life as a discarded pallet — rough, weathered, and destined for the fire pile. Instead, it was carefully dismantled, denailed, planed, and brought back to life as a sturdy, functional piece of handmade furniture.

Every board you see was salvaged pallet timber, selected, cleaned, and machined to highlight the natural grain and character marks. The contrast in tones comes from different pallet slats, giving it that subtle striped effect without adding any exotic hardwoods — just honest reclaimed wood with its own story.

This piece reflects the reduce, reuse, recycle mindset:
♻️ Reduce waste by diverting usable timber from landfill
♻️ Reuse materials that still have structural value
♻️ Recycle through creative craftsmanship
What was once packaging material is now a practical footstool, step, or small seat — built to last and full of character you simply can’t fake with mass-produced timber.

From rough slab to finished statement piece ✨
This one was all about letting the timber lead the way — wild grain, natural character, and a pop of turquoise resin bringing it all together. Finished off with matte black handles and a food-safe finish, built to be used and admired.

Recently, I had the privilege of crafting this hiking stick for a client, shaped from Irish whitethorn — a tree deeply rooted in folklore and the landscape itself.

Hand-formed to follow the natural growth of the wood and finished to preserve its character.
