Looking forward to joining and sharing Syntropic Agriculture and some songs πŸ€—πŸŒˆπŸ’š

On Saturday I'll be singing some of our songs and some Amazon Indigenous frequencies.

On Sunday we will share a Worshop on Syntropic Agriculture - we will share some tools and experiences to help us remembering what is to be Nature and participate in the creation of the abundance and peace we all are 🌻

Ni Ibu (Davi Leon) is a Brazilian who has been rooting down in Irish soils since 2013.Β

As a social psychologist from an academic background, his main driver was to understand what made communities healthy.

But it was only after moving to Ireland that he made the connections between the health of the community and the health of the landscape.

Through his partner Hazel Kari and Irish family, he had access to land and to a wealth of inherited knowledge and love for growing food and being Nature.

Together they started Hazel and Davi`s Wicklow Farm CSA, producing vegetable boxes for their local community while they learned how to manage the landscape for Abundance. Naturally, their farming techniques developed and following a research trip to Brazil, they discovered Syntropic Agroforestry. This technology is regenerative but without reliance on importing massive inputs and has the capacity to overflow resources using Nature's pathways for creation.

Ni Ibu has also been engaging with and studying the way of life of the Indigenous people who ARE the Amazon Rainforest, studying its plant medicines and decolonizing himself and remembering how to be Nature.Β

Ni Ibu will offer practical information and tools on how to consume and manage our land for Abundance - as Nature. We will look into the evolution and the path of life on our planet, and how Cooperation and Unconditional love is the driving force behind it all.Β

While recognizing where the violence of the colonial project and mindset still lingers in much of our ways of being and social structures in Ireland and beyond, making an invitation to re signify words such as INVASIVE, ALIEN, COMPETITION and so on..Β

It will be an invitation for a paradigm shift from War to Peace, in each one of us.

Yesterday was a beautiful day πŸ₯°

We hosted a walk for the sharing what we have learned over the last few years experimenting with different Syntropic Agroforestry systems.

We have learned very much and the new agroforestry grants are a great improvement and support for the farmers in Ireland.

We will be applying for systems ourselves, to experiment, learn and share much more with our community.

If you need support with your systems please get in touch. We will be happy to help.

Thanks to Ragna from

Thanks to and for the beautiful pictures and friendship. Looking forward to more.

Lots of love and let's plant a more and more abundant landscape.

Info:

Ni Ibu (Davi) and Hazel started planting their food forest systems in 2020. They are working the land using syntropic principles, mimicking the natural succession that would naturally occur over time. This is achieved by planting a diverse selection of plants at a relatively close spacing and using some of those as feeder plants by pruning them regularly and leaving the prunings on the ground to increase organic matter in the soil.

Their main objective is food production, for their own use and CSA customers. They have planted species like Alder, Apple, Currants, Poplar, Willow, Cobnuts and Plum to name just a few. There is no livestock within the food forest system, however a lot of the trees they have planted are palatable to livestock and the system could be used for livestock if some adjustments were made. This walk is especially interesting to those who wish to explore the possibilities a Food Forest system can provide in our climate.

The farm walk is funded by the Forestry Promotion Fund provided by the Department of Agriculture Food and the Marine. πŸ™ŒπŸ½πŸ™πŸ½

We are BIODIVERSITY!!

LETS TAKE THE LANDSCAPE BACK!!

Mother earth is longing for love, affection, presence, care.

Let's nourish ourselves. Lets nourish the land.

You are the water. Look after yourself.

60% of the land in Ireland is managed by 6% of its population. Farmers.

The land is their cow. They milk it for profit.

Why? Why not? Don't we all eat money?

NOOOO.

Better change this Climate.... Its Getting a bit Toxic.

There is only one way.

Look after your community.

Take responsibility for what you consume.

BUY LOCAL PRODUCE/RESOUCE. Not only MADE IN IRELAND.

Leave the supermarket. Meet your growers and praise them. Pay good money for they grow your food.

Go wild. Be sober, bita both.

Seeds of Hope - Sowing Paradise.

Family and friends managing 4yr old agroforestry

We are the Forest.

On the 21st of September From 5pm!! Join us for an evening of immersion in the Wisdom of the Forest!

Reserve you tickets through the link in our stories

From the heart of the Amazon Rainforest we are having Tuin Nova Era and Yeke Huni Kuin visiting Γ‰ireann for the first time.. They live in the state of Acre-BR inside of an indigenous preservation area in a settlement called Espelho da Vida - Mirror of our Life.

They are travelling Europe sharing their indigenous wisdom, culture and connection to Nature. The tour is focused on keeping alive a threatened culture and landscape, promoting their way of life and connection to the land and its living beings. A way of life that was once native to hÉireann and that knows no borders, but our modern way of life has lost touch and been polluted.
During this tour Tuin and Yeke work to share their knowledge and life, gathering funds which they bring back to their local communities in the Amazon to develop and improve their life there, while exchanging learnings and connecting with ``modern`` communities.

The work in Ireland will be done in sharing circles, through music, storytelling and rapè (traditional medicinal s***f with herbs). The Huni Kuin celebrates their connection with the environment and with the sacred through a repertoire of medicines, foods and herbs. All is sacred and is Yuxibu - God itself.

Please consider donating through the Go Fund link in our Bio.

Lots of Love

2022 - our Last year!!

After spending New Year in the middle of the Amazon we went to Bahía to work with Gudrun Gotsch, managing some of her agroforestry systems and making amazing raw Cocoa bars. That’s our kind of Holiday.

The food we ate there was magical, munching on fresh Cocoa fruit every day is blissful. Such a sweet and amazing fruit.

We had a very quick meeting with Ernst, who is the Syntropic Master in Brazil. We had the pleasure to visit some of his plantings. It was the most beautiful food forest we had ever been to. Imagine a dense forest, where most of the species are fruit or nut. There was citrus hanging over Cacau plants, with jackfruits, açaí, Brazil nut, avocados and lots more. The whole forest floor covered with organic matter. Mushrooms galore.

Back in Ireland we decided to stop the CSA as we were looking for a new home and time was tight. We kept selling in a local shop till the end of the year, which worked very well.

We hosted two agroforestry courses which were amazing and the systems we planted are doing great. We look forward to the next ones as soon as we find our new place 😊

We have learned so much this last 7 years it has been an amazing journey and we have both changed a lot.

Thank you very much if you have followed it this far, Being part of our community or just reading it from far away.

Coming next our vision for the future

Lots of love
