I've always been intrigued by the potential impact of design on the rattan industry. The intricate supply chain dynamics pose significant challenges, especially for the resilient farmers who often bear the brunt of negative consequences. Too often, they are reduced to mere marketing tools. But the real question is: are we truly making a positive impact? Maybe it's time to question our contributions and explore how we can collectively drive sustainable change, particularly for the farmers who play a pivotal role in the industry.
