The Banksia Suites is a luxurious 4 suite boutique accommodation facility situated right in the very heart of Legion but secluded enough to provide a wonderfully private sanctuary from the hustle and bustle of Bali that we all know and love but very often need a break from. The Banksia Suites is excellently located in Jl Padma at the very rear of a private and safe lane and beyond a well respected

Bali family's private enclave. We are around 400mtrs from the beach, some 60mtrs off the street and very convenient to the bars and many restaurants, including the very popular Mozzarella, the Lokal, the Pad Bene lane restaurant, Bella Italia and many others. The airport is some 20 minutes away and we enjoy easy access to the trendy Seminyak area. We are very proud to offer a unique luxury accommodation facility in the form of four 90m2 boutique suites (see our floor plan) and separated by a beautiful refreshing swimming pool for the comfort of our guests. The Banksia Suites offers two ground floor and two first floor suites, all identical in size, design and furnishings, that we consider are a standard above any other accommodation you will find in the area. Personal safety is always a factor in Bali and you will find that as we are located well off the street and beyond the family compound your safety will not be an issue. Our family is well regarded in the area and you can be assured that as known guests of The Banksia Suites, the resident family and the local Balinese will ensure you are kept safe and sound throughout your visit. Here is a list of what you can expect from 90m2 of luxury accommodation;
• Huge bedroom with a King bed that can be conveniently split in to 2 king singles (just let us know what you prefer when booking)
• Expansive living room with a 3 and 2 seater sofa that opens out on to the verandah through bi-fold doors.
• An absolutely incredible 5 star marble ensuite with huge shower, double vanity, toilet and bath.
• A full kitchen, with microwave, oven, cook top, large fridge, range hood and breakfast bar.
• 2 air conditioners, one 2.5kw in the living and one 1.5kw in the bedroom.
• 2 TV's, a 55" in the living and a 42" in the bedroom.
•WIFI internet connection.
• A large verandah/balcony to take in those cool evening breezes off the ocean. Our employees are delightfully Balinese and are very mindful of doing everything to ensure that your stay is relaxing and enjoyable. We have a guest liaison manager, 2 room staff and a young lad to look after the pool and gardens. We are very mindful of the fragile environment and the ecological stress Bali is under. We are one of the very few developers prepared to spend the extra money on recycled waste water that is redirected back into watering the gardens. Hi Banksia Family and Friends, We are off home to Perth this morning. Staying at the suites for the first time was an experience and worthwhile. When we get home I will do a guest review.
Our last day meal has always been at the PaD on Bene. This one was breakfast.
I'm so looking forward to 4⁰ mornings ☹️☹️

The second photo shows a bunch of Kintamani/Labrador pups that are 8 weeks old and 3 are for sale. I would buy all of them if living here.

I'm back at the Banksia and after discussing with Ronnie, this bin system seems so bloody confusing with different methods from different people.
Yesterday morning Ronnie was walking down past the Rama Garden and the rubbish collectors had spread the rubbish from the Rama onto the footpath and sorting through it all. There was stuff everywhere on the footpath and it stunk something awful. Here are the bins outside La Karma spa in Padma.
No doubt there is a long way to go and I'm still confused about where this separated rubbish ends up🤔🤔

You would all be aware that Bali has always struggled with the rubbish generated locally in the villages and the tourist areas.
Is there a solution to the rubbish and in particular the environmental friendly disposal of the litter.
Things are starting to happen. The rubbish would have been chucked in the wheelie bins, taken up the front and thrown into the truck each morning.
Now, the rubbish has to be sorted by the residents each day and put into these black plastic bags. The rubbish collectors now go through the bags and if the bags have mixed contents then they will be left and fines can be issued.
Ronnie is trying to source the small 3 coloured bins to have in each suite however they are difficult to find.
I have included a photo of the bins at our bungalow. At least it's a start but educating the locals, particularly in the villages, is going to be difficult.
