Up until now, the real risk lay in the homogenization of the appearance of AI-generated content.
ChatGPT is everywhere: in news articles, speeches, sermons, emails.
We also recognize the tone: the triads, the empty concepts, the redundant paraphrases and antitheses, just like the visuals (those famous posters that no longer communicate anything).
We have gradually learned to read and integrate them; and through repeated exposure, what we feared is starting to happen: we are beginning to think and write like the machine. It is a conscious project of substitution.
“The best shield for creative thought against [this] cultural homogenization of AI is a deliberate return to human works of the past.”
